Yo!

Used to be a fun place to live

Unfortunately, I'll have to agree with most of the complaints posted here. Anyone posting a completely pleasant experience is either an employee or a relative of one. I used to feel comfortable (as comfortable as you can feel in a complex with approx 500 apartments). The problems are this: (SECURITY)There are people who speed carelessly through the complex. For the most part, these are the same people all the time. I understand the MGT is supposed to be working on this (we'll see). Many vehicles have been broken into, and many items stolen including, but not limited to cars and wave runners. The office claims they had no prior knowledge of this, so they had nothing to tell the residents (maybe). They have recently sent out a memo to all residents warning them about security issues. This includes making sure the residents understand that SECURITY is the sole responsibility of the RESIDENTS. They're telling us to make sure WE have insurance on all our posessions, because THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE! There used to be someone who rode around in a truck with a security decal on the door. I don't know what their purpose was, but it did make us feel a little better. Considering the number of apartments in this complex, it seems like it would be a small price for everyone to have onsite security. Also, the whole comples is fairly dark at night. More/better lighting is needed. (ATTITUDE) As far as other claims of the office's apathetic attitude, I personally experienced it. When you call their corporate office however, they APPEAR to get off their asses. (MAINTENANCE) This issue varies from time to time. REMEMBER, maintenance can't do what they haven't been told to do. The times when I've placed work orders, I had fairly good responses. I have heard other people say they had problems though. (DOG FECES) There are numerous pet owners in this complex. There are many that are responsible, and there are many that don't give a crap (no pun intended). They should be policing themselves. If they see a pet owner leaving poop on the grounds, they should either bring it to that persons attention, or notify the office. The ones that really piss me off are the ones that let their dog poop right next to the DOG WASTE station and don't pick it up! That's pitiful! (AUTOS) A couple of months back, the office swept through the complex towing vehicles in violation of the lease agreement. This was great. Now, problems are starting to creep back in. Autos are being parked in the raodway. Wrecked autos are occupying spaces reserved for legally registered, drivable ones. If I think of anything else, belive me, I'll let you know.
