My husband and I lived in Archstone, now Centennial Ridge for a little over a year and I must say I adored it. We bought a home last year in another state, however we travel to Atlanta frequently for work and have been renting expensive corporate apartments. We recently made the decision to move back to Centennial ridge as a corporate apartment for our out of town stays.

I recently found a website and this review board and was appalled with the comments that have been posted. I have nothing but fond memories of this community and am glad that I am apart of it again.

After reading the many negative posts here I can easily see that some people are bored and immature. Very unfortunate.

I see that a few people have mentioned problems with "rats". First of all the people living in Centennial Ridge made the decision to live in a wooded community for the serenity and beauty of it. There are going to be critters here and there. I deal with skunks where my husband and I own our house, trust me thats an issue and I am not going to start kicking, screaming and crying to the state of SC about it. I never had any infestation problem of any sort while living in Centennial ridge.

I honestly feel that those posting negative reviews are not thinking clearly. Yes a couple of rats can be upsetting, but you're going to find that almost anywhere. I personally did not have problems with rats. But for those posting negative comments, stop and thing for a moment. If the complex were to set out poison on the grounds, what is going to happen' 1) There will be a chance that children can get a hold of the poison. 2) There is a chance a pet can get a hold of the poisons and 3) the obvious, the rats will crawl back into the walls and die. The decay of 1 rat can stench the whole building. The only option is for the community to do their best in blocking any small holes or setting a few traps. The community is NOT in anyway infested with rats. I have read that some complain about hearing rats, hmmmm... Could there be a possibility that there is a squirrel on the roof or perhaps reading a certain persons negative posts makes you think any little noise you may hear could be a mouse.

For those who are interested in this apartment complex, just take the time for a tour, I guarantee you will fall in love with this complex just as my husband and I did.

2 swimming pools and playground as well as picnicking area. My husband loves going for a run on the hiking trail, which goes around the lake. The longest I had to wait for maintenance to do anything was 12 hours and thats when they brought a new refrigerator in and they also compensated us for the food that we could not keep refrigerated during that time. Maintenance has always been punctual and management has always done their best to keep us happy.

Take about 8-10 employees of Centennial Ridge and 200 residence, I think they're doing a great job and have a great community.

They have placed poison all over the property. (if you need pictures let me know I will provide.) Also they had to remove a DEAD RAT from my walls under my kitchen sink. (I have audio of that call also) They have replaced my stove 3 times due to rat droppings. Please a few Rats, I spoke with management (Lisa Amberger who I believe wrote this) she informed me of how the problem started. Before Archstone sold the property to Worthing Companies there was a dumpster in the back that was broke for a while. When the new management came in they fixed the dumpster and pulled it out. WHEN THEY PULLED THE DUMPSTER OUT THERE WERE THOUSANDS AND I MEAN THOUSANDS OF RATS LIVING UNDER THIS DUMPSTER. They did nothing at that point to stop the problem, they assumed it would go away. Now it is winter, and those thousands of rats are now in our apartments. My neighbor caught 13 rats in 1 weekend, and I have caught 3 and have the pictures to prove it; you call that a few here and there. You can't discredit the truth. It is hard imagine hearing something scratching in your walls, it is hard to imagine your dishwasher leaking on your neighbors because RATS HAVE CHEWED THE HOSE THAT SUPPLYS THE WATER TO THE DISHWASHER, it is hard to imagine a RAT SITTING ON YOUR OVEN AS IF IT PAYS RENT, it is hard to imagine WATCHING MANTENENCE REMOVE A DEAD RAT FROM BEHIND YOUR KITCHEN WALL, it is hard to imagine a HUGE HOLE UNDER MY BATHROOM SINK, it is hard to imagine A HUGE HOLE UNDER MY KITCHEN SINK AND BEHIND MY OVEN AFTER THEY PATCHED IT TWICE. If you want to hear the audio of Lisa explaining this to me let me know I will e-mail you the audio or place it on my site. I record all their calls.......YOU WANT THE TRUTH CALL THEM AND ASK. WILL THEY LIE TO YOU????? 770-642-1661 ask for Lisa and demand the truth…..

I don't doubt the rats, but have you even reviewed all the other apartments on this site. Even the beautiful apartment complexes (in Georgia) get bashed to hell and have ratings below 50%. Very few get above 80%. Perhaps you can ask to move into a different unit in the complex, if the one you stay in is so bad.

People will bash the most beautiful apts. If they have a reason to, Like bad mgmt! if you have the nicest apt. in the world, but it has bad management, then you will have a bad experince no matter how it looks on the outside.

I think that complex needs to be blown up, rebuilt, and two complexes intead of one big one that is improperly managed.
