I moved here near the end of 2003 with much excitement of my new place due to the amenities it provided and the price. But, what I didn't realize was the type of people that would be my neighbors and the negative elements that soon surfaced in terms of residents. After a couple of months I soon had to deal with loud Mariachi music constantly, garbage items left on my apartment stairs and the mere fact that the residents just didn't care at all about sanity in terms of putting their garbage IN the Trash Bin, but instead they would pile it up OUTSIDE of the bin. Just lazy and pathetic. The office staff was verynice adn always accomodating to my needs, it merely was the type of people they would allow to move into the property which basically brought it down. At the end of April, there was a shoot out with gang members 2 buildings down from mine and that was the LAST straw! Pervious to that in the apartments next door call Concept 21, there was a massive killing of 5 people in an apartment and that right there was too close to home! I thought to myself what the hell did I get myself into by moving here' I knew soon I had to get the hell out of this apartment complex if I still wanted to live or not have my apartment broken into at some point. Overall, it just wasn't a safe environment. The only thing I enjoyed was the comfort of my amenities inside my apartment with the nice fireplace and living room fan. But none of that could overshadow the fact that I was living in the Mexican "HOOD". All I can is I'm glad I'm out and living in a much nicer place and I feel comfortable and safer.

Are you still living in an apartment community? If so tell me something positive about the new one? I'm apartment shopping and don't want to make major mistakes that I will have to deal with for a year. I'm not into small kids and a lot of noise and I also have a very tammed 48lb boxer.
