I am a former Post Vinings resident that lived here from 1997-2004, moved to Kennesaw for a few years and then moved back to Smyrna to Aventine at Vinings (formally Post Vinings) in 2008.
Greystar, the management company, have made some fantastic changes! The apartment buildings are being re-painted, the railroad tie retainer walls are gone and many other awesome changes are taking place. I moved into a renovated apartment that has been completely updated, i.e. Hunter ceiling fans, 2 tone paint/trim, black appliances, brushed nickel light fixtures, new flooring etc. My apartment is beautiful!
The staff at Aventine at Vinings are wonderful! I have had several maintenance issues and each one has been taken care on the day of the request. I've read some of the ther reviews about maintence issues and all I can say is if you have called in a maintenance request, then stop by the leasing office in a few hours to follow-up.
Overall, I think Aventine at Vinings is a great place to live. Its been pretty quiet since I've been here and I've even run into a few long-term residents that I met approximately 5-7 years ago when I was a resident (before my move to Kennesaw.) The location is perfect - less than 10 minutes to 285, the Smyrna Market Village, East-West Connector, and the new restaurants at Cumberland Mall.

I have a question for the management. I have seen some of the updated apartments as well and they do look awesome, but what about the current residents. Will our apartments be updated with new appliance and fixtures, lord knows they are outdated.
