This is the worst apartment complex I have lived in. I stayed for about two months, and then was released from my lease because the place was unlivable.

The staff is unorganized and has no idea what they're doing. When I showed up the day I was to move-in, after calling the day before to make sure everything was ready, my apartment was not ready! When I left messages with one staff member, the property manager never got them. It took them a full month to respond to my list of things that needed to be fixed on move-in.

My roof leaked -- badly, in several places -- for the last three weeks that I lived there. This was in the backroom/sunroom. I had water marks all over the place, a small leak on one side of the room, a HUGE leak on the other side (collected several inches of water in a bucket) and water running down the walls from where the windows were. When I called the emergancy number the night it was discovered (because I had signed paperwork promising to call immediately for leaks) the maintenance guy snapped at me. In 3 weeks NOTHING was done to fix the leaks, despite repeated calling, they were still there when I moved out.

There were horrible insect infestations. I saw some type of bug DAILY. I had everything from mosquitoes, gnats, roachs, and HUGE roach-like "tree-bugs". The apartment was sprayed twice professionally, and I put bug-traps in, but the problems persisted through move-out. A few days before I was to move-out, the bug guy came again, without me knowing he was coming, set off my ARMED alarm, when I (single, female) was sleeping. This is just freaky.

The apartment is about 20 years old. You can hear everything through the walls, including your neightbors constantly fighting. My apartment STANK -- it smelled like smoke. No amount of candle-burning, incense, air freshener, etc, could remove the smell. It was so persistent that when I left in the morning, I smelled like I'd been in a bar or something, smokey hair, smokey clothes -- I had to buy Febreze for my furniture when I moved out.

And, I didn't dar open the windows -- they were DENSELY covered with spider webs on the outside, and the apartment refused to clean them. Even inside there were some webs I had to vacuum up on move-in.

And now, even though I was "released" from my lease for medical reasons, with a note from my doctor, they refuse to give back my security deposit. They also screw you by putting in the lease that any notice you give will not count until the first of the month... and they require 2 month notice. So if you give a letter on the 5th or 10th of october, it would go into effect the 1st of november, which means you would be moving out 1st of january! In my case, because I had a medical letter, I was excused from just ONE month - I ended up paying for a month and a half that I did NOT live there, and they won't give back my security deposit. They also tack on $25 for water fees each month, in addition to rent. (My water fees that were billed directly in another apartment run $8-$10, so i know it doesn't cost $25) -- but they charged me THOSE TOO when I had already moved out, and refuse to refund them, despite the fact that nobody was living there (no water used).

Basically, this apartment complex sucks. It's difficult to get problems resolved, the staff is unorganized and can't communicate with one another, and they refuse to fix major problems with their buildings. I mean really, had i not had a HOLE in the ROOF, maybe some of the bug problems would have been less severe' I recommend you stay away from them.
