-If you live on the ground floor, be prepared to deal with spiders and centipedes.
-Apartments are old so be prepared to deal with regular appliance problems. My A/C went out 3 times summer and once already this year. But maitenance is pretty timely. If you call in the morning, they'll usually get to you the same day.
-Staff is friendly and nice. They have pool parties on occasion and once or twice staff member has been by the front gate with breakfast sandwiches in the morning.
-There have been a few robberies in the parking lot. Keep your head on a swivel.
-You're close to Buckhead, Vinings, and Marietta.
-Complex is much nicer than most places in the same price range.
-The machines in the fitness center is often broken.
-Parking is rarely a problem.
Three experiences that made me leave:
1) At one point my oven quit working. I called to have someone look at it and they said it was fixed. It still didn't work. I called again, and someone "fixed it". Still didn't work. Only after the 4th attempt at fixing it, did they get a new stove in there.
2) My apartment was flooded. A pipe burst in the celing above my apartment. They only called because they had misplaced my key. They took care of the repairs for the most part, except for the mold now growing on my ceiling.
3) They raised my rent. Now, this is to be expected in apartments. I've done my share of apartment living and I fully expect for rent to go up every year. I got the notification letter, and when I went online to get their number to tell them I was renewing, I saw my same apartment floor plan being offered for $100 less a month. When I asked about this, they acted surprised. When I told them I was leaving, they offered to keep rent the same. Just doesn't seem like good business to me.
All in all, its an ok place. Fairly quiet, decent amenities, prompt but sometimes inadequate service. If you can afford to look around, if not this is a much better place than others in the same price range.
