My husband and I had been doing research for a while on what apartment complexes we would like to consider when he comes back from deployment. Calibre Brooke looked promising, so I thought I would stop by and check out the complex. The leasing lady (-----) turned me away twice because she was "by herself and waiting for new move-ins" or "waiting for someone who made an appointment." The third time I went back, I had called ahead to make sure the apartments I wanted to see would be available to look at and someone would be available to show them to me, and made an appointment. ----- assured me that they were. When I got there, she told me that they weren't. She also insisted that I give her my personal information, including address and income. I refused. She then told me that my husband and I EACH had to make 3x the rent to be accepted there (according to their website, it is a combined 3x the rent for married couples, not 3x each). Either way, my husband and I more than meet their requirements (even with her made-up criteria), but I prefer not to disclose that sort of information unless absolutely necessary. I got the distinct impression that she had no desire to show me the apartments and was finding as many ways as possible to get me to leave. Well, it worked. I have no intention of going back again.
