Do not move here

This property used to be a well managed property, but obviously, managers change. The current resident manager has no interest in customer service nor making sure that her residents are at least content. The manager was unfriendly and rude. Even during application she was not pleasant. I had to keep calling for a status and continue to follow up. My lease was not signed by the manager until 1 full month after I moved in and I had to go into the office to get the copy. This should have been a clue, however, I thought again that I was moving to a familiar area and once in, I wouldn't have to deal with the manager anyway. As long as I paid my rent and bills I would not have to worry with the leasing office. Unfortunately, this wouldn't be the case.

Most apartments do not guarentee your safety, but when I had a issue with a neighbor, by law that person should have been asked to leave the community. The manager spoke with the tenant once. Things got better for about 3 days. The manager not only did not respond to my follow up, but never returned my calls. When I went in to visit, I was told that I had to make an appointment. I again left my name and number and never received a call. The matter escalated and I was told at one time by the after hour answering service that security said that "if she calls back tell her to call the police" The manager gets these messages everyday and not once did she call to inquire what was going on. When I asked about another unit she advised that it had already been rented. I watched for 1 month the apartment left unoccupied. Because I was now involving the police, I was fearful for mine and my toddlers safety.

The apartments are roach invested and the grounds unkept. There is a sign that violators leaving trash outside of the compactor will be charged a $50 fine. Every weekend the trash is overflowing therefore the residents have no where to leave the trash so I seriously, doubt any fines were being applied.

It is mandatory that you use their designated gas company by the name of Infinite Energy their vendor of choice. Infinite Energy charges a $4.95 customer service fee (regardless of you ever calling them or not which is what they explain it is for) and a $5.95 electronic payment fee. This too is charged regardless of mailing in a check or paying electronically. There is also a $10 late fee. The payments are mailed to a PO Box that is often not applied in a timely, manner and they will provide no proof of receipt of payment mailed, so you either use the $5.95 electronic charge that you are being charged anyway or take the chance that your payment won't be applied late and get charged $10.

The lights for the parking lot are often out and this with the unkept grounds and other issues does not give the feeling of safety.

Can not speak on maintenance because when I did call unless I remembered what I needed to follow up with them, I wouldn't know about it until that evening so that meant another day. I had to keep calling for one thing and no one called to provide status of part that was either out or back ordered.

I moved back here thinking that it was a good community once and with this turn in my life I would at be in a place that I was familiar, while in transition. I dread going to my "home" in the evenings and my toddler states everyday that she "doesn't want to go home".
