You Can Definitely Do Much Better for Your Money

Incompetent staff - Yes, the staff are nice, but when it comes to getting things done expect to be disappointed. My A/C unit has had problems for months now, and little has been done to truly fix the issue. In the summer the last thing you need is A/C problems. They were probably the same ones that were in the community when it was built, which explains why they get backlogged with maintaince requests for A/C problems.
Pestilence - There are ALWAYS bugs around even if you re not on the first floor (i.e. cockroaches, spiders, beetles, earwigs, some type of hairy caterpillar things, roaches, etc). Getting them to spray doesn t help the issue.
Noise - Besides being able to hear the train from hear, you also have large trucks driven by who-knows, and they honk their horns and who-knows-what as they go by. Definitely don t live on the Atlanta Road side if you like quiet peaceful mornings. Also, of course, you can hear your neighbor s feet and don t expect to play music on Saturdays, because the walls are just too thin for that.
Blocks from the Hood - Within blocks of the community is a very low income area. You have the local Family Dollar and discount grocery that is a hang-out for the individuals from that area.
Homeless Person - The bum comments are true, and given the community s proximity to a very unsightly area it is no wonder why the homeless person hangs out in the area.
Gates - Annoying' Yes, particularly the little bar that opens after the gate has already opened. It s always being hit by someone, and yes it is regularly broken. Thankfully it gets fixed pretty quickly.
Cost vs. quality - Ultimately it s a cost vs. quality issue. Even with its nice exteriors and convenience to the freeway you still have truck driver traffic, old outdated interiors (cabinets & counters & air conditioners), pestilence, and a dank fitness center with old creaky barely working equipment.
Not a Bigot Haven - If you're sad and improverished minded enough to be into that sort of thing. You probably also won't like this community, because there are actually black people who can actually afford to live here. Even with my problems with the community, it's the not-so-nice people among the individuals who can't afford to live here that are of concern... just blocks down Atlanta Road.
Do yourself a favor. Rent a privately owned townhome in a nice area for a little more money and get more space, more freedom, a private mini-yard, update-to-date interiors, and the most priceless thing of all: Peace of Mind. (See realtor.com / ajchomefinder.com / Re/Max communities / craigslist.com / rentals.com).
Take care and good luck.

You know, you're right. They should just rip the whole complex down and start over every decade in order to please snoots like yourself who want top of the line everything. Why did you move to a place unless it had brand new cabinets and counters? My guess, you can't afford it b/c they're several hundred dollars more per month. Blocks from the hood? Where do you live? You must know nothing about this city. Everything is blocks from the hood in one direction anywhere you go in Atlanta. Turn around and go in the other direction, and you have multi-million dollar homes. Homeless person? There may have been an incident at one time; however, that doesn't mean for the rest of eternity, we'll have a homeless neighbor. Yeah, that train whistle is really annoying when you stop and happen to notice it as you're getting into your car. I hate to break it to you, but those not-so-nice people exist everywhere in this world. They are the same people that don't care about anyone else around them except for themselves. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you won't find them anywhere except the Gables Vinings complex. Good luck on your townhome search in your perfect world and take care.

It is so obvious that you are racist...blocks from the hood...very low income area...homeless people. You are truly pathetic to look down your white, long nose at anyone.
