nice apartment...bad experience

I lived there for a year and agree with the reviews of the staff...they were never helpful. They lost a package for three months wen it all of a sudden turned back up. When I went to visit with an appointment I was told I couldnt see a unit because she was the only one in the office and she couldnt leave. When I had to have my brother come to drop off a piece of furniture during the day when I was at work he had to wait 45 minutes to be let into my apartment which they agreed to do after I faxed them a written confirmation, a copy of my driver's licence and a time that he was going to arrive.

The best part is when I moved out the were going to charge me $3000 for repairs to the apartment. Mind you I was a 23 year old female who was single and works at least 60 hours a week...most of which to pay for the extremely inflated rent. They were complaining because I hung a mirror on the wall with a mount that they said looked liked I punched a hole on the wall. They let me go back in and fix what they called serious problems. After much arguing about the problems they agreed on $1200 which I still felt was entirely innapropriate. They treated me like a second rate citizen when I was never a bad tenant. Be sure to read your contract carefully and look closely when they do the walk-through. Many "problems" they found I believed were there when I moved in...but I didnt think they were a big deal.

I wouldnt suggest it to anyone.

You would've had to tear the place down in order for us to have charged you $3000. Sheetrock damage from a hole in the wall would cost, at most, $200 for repair. We do not charge the resident unless we are charged by a contractor to fix something. Additionally, never is a strong word. I am a member of the Gables Vinings Management Team, and I know we strive to offer each and every resident the best service.
