IF YOU MOVE IN, YOU'LL BE ON YOUR OWN

KEENELAND FARMS DOESN'T CARE. The Wexford Hills Staff was at least easy to deal with. The last post must be from my neighbor, who was up until 3 am helping wet/vac my apartment after the worst flood I've had...so far...one day after someone stole all of the change out of the ashtray in my car. I would've gone to bed, not knowing that water had begun to run across the floor. My daughter happened to go in kitchen for a drink before bed and asked me why the floor was wet. This is the 3rd time. If I could post the video I took before the padding was pulled up and the remaining water was cleaned up, I would. If I can find a site that will allow me to do that, I'll post another message so you all will know where to look for it. The last time we had a flood, the emergency line told me that it was not important enough to call anyone out at that time. No one came by until the next day. This time, a maintenance tech came out and told me over and over again that the water was coming from the dishwasher - which he showed me. I repeatedly told him that the water was flowing from the opposite side of the kitchen and that the problem, which I had gone through before, was not only coming from the dishwasher. He didn't believe me until the water began gushing from under the bathroom door, while he was still there to see it. Had it not been for my neighbor lending a hand, the kitchen, dining room, and hall would have turned into a pond - and would've extended further into my living room. They are refusing to change or even clean my carpet. I was told that the water from the toilet is cleaner than anything else. WHAT IS THAT' It's been a week and a half and my kitchen is still filled with my dining room furniture. I had to finally call back to the office, to find out when someone was coming back to put the padding back under the carpet and do something about the mildew. I asked about my dishwasher - now they're saying that the dishwasher isn't the problem, after the maintenance tech told me that is was part of it. No one has come back yet to check that out yet either. They did at least come out to patch up the three holes that the plumber put in my wall, but no one has come back to paint them. I sat in the office and listened to an agent telling someone on the phone about the new carpet, appliances, and so forth. They use those to get new people here. Of course you don't know about the constantly overflowing trash receptacle, dogs running around unleashed, the ridiculously loud music coming from cars, the gate that never works because someone breaks the arm every other day (so now they just leave it open), the on-site security you hardly ever see, the unreturned phone calls from the staff, the rudeness and uncaring nature of the staff...the list goes on. I showed the office manager (I guess that's who she was) the first place I had ever noticed wet carpet. Boxes, that I had to throw out, were in that corner and I didn'tknow how long it had been wet. It had previously been cleaned, but it had turned black. She told me that anything could have turned the carpet black. Don't ask the staff any questions, they don't usually know the answers and may become defensive. Don't ask for the phone numbers or name of the company that owns Keeneland Farms, you won't get that information either. One of my friends lives here, too. Her refrigerator broke down shortly after she moved in. It took days for them to get another one, from another apartment, not one of those nice chrome ones you see in the pictures. That one didn't work either. She also had to argue with them to reimburse her for the lost food. The building next to hers had a fire. All four units are uninhabitable. One is still boarded up. I can't run a space heater in my bedroom and the hair dryer in my bathroom at the same time without tripping the circuit. My last hair dryer caught on fire while I was drying my daughter's hair. My stove has also caught on fire. My countertops are painted, not that nice gray granite which is shown in the pictures. One of my shelves is falling in. I called once to report that there were a lot of wasps flying aroung my patio, they asked me if I knew where the hive was. I told them that I had been stung by a wasp before and I was not out looking for a hive. I was told that they couldn't do anything about it if I didn't know where the hive was. So I just haven't been able to make use of my patio. My ac unit was broken last summer and the maintenance tech tried to fix it for about 2 weeks before they finally just replaced it. I'm trying to give you as much information as you'll need to know before you decide to move here. They are spending a lot of money to improve the appearance of the property, but they are not doing anything to help the people who are already here. I guess they want us to move, so that they can upgrade our units and rent them for higher prices to keep up with the rest of Smyrna. I love the area, I used to like living here, but too many things have changed. Don't move here. If you do, you'd be stupid not to get renter's insurance.
