On ajc.com, they said the man that was stabbed was not a resident, but this just further explains how dangerous and ghetto this complex is getting. People that do not belong here can easily tailgate behind you when you come through the gate. One day my husband was coming in and his sister was behind the car that was behind him. he held up the card to let his sister know he was leaving it on top of the stand that scans the card. he drove through the gate and was on his way home, his sister called and asked him where was the card. the guy behind him took the card! i could not believe it! that was low down. My husband rode around and found the guy and he swore up and down he did not take it. we couldn't prove it, so nothing could be done. this is getting completely out of hand! it will cost me more to break my lease with only one month left, than to just pay my rent for July. July 31st is not coming fast enough.

I feel your pain, I'm going through everything your going through and more. There's bugs cheap floors cheap paint I can hear the neighbors clearly and stuff has been stolen from us, they place is a mess!! I wouldn't pay no more than 400 dollars for this mess and I still see the man with the pits everyday walking those dogs without a collar or anything, he's always around the park with those kids I stopped taking my son to the park because I was afraid they would attack and once again the office did nothing like usuall. I feel your pain everyone I talk to says they are getting out of there and so are we ASAP

I am breaking my lease and moving early.I pay 935 for a 2b 2 1/2bth townhome. Not worth it. I feel you on the parking spaces and people just roaming around the complex "scooping" out the place. My apartment leaks everytime we bathe or shower or the apartment next door washes. The ceilling leaks everytime it rain. These are not complaints that management isn't aware of, they just have not done anything about. The new guy that has taken the place of Ty is very rude and condescending. He realy could give a flying f... about thing over here. These are very expensive projects.

I have been searching for clean, suitable yet won't break the bank apartments in Smyrna or very close to Smyrna due to my husbands job being there. I heard about this murder on channel 2 news last night.
Any suggestions on a complex in Smyrna which is decent?
Thanks in advance, and I hate that you nice people have to live in that mess. I really mean that.

Definitely! Not only doesn't it "look right", it's downright unbelievable! In my 30 years of renting, even on limited income such as welfare, I have never, ever encountered living in such conditions. I believe it is the amount of rent they require that bothers me most, in addition to the misrepresentation of the overall property. The hilarious part is how much the place feels like a property suitable for poor, under-privileged, people who are struggling to make ends meet, and REALLY have no other available options but to endure insects, leaking walls, flooded carpets from cracks where water seeps through from the outside. I've always felt their pain for not being able to improve situations, but for what I taught my daughter, even growing up on limited income is to take pride in your home...that you get out of life what you put into it! She has succeded in her education and career, and certainly was not prepared to live like this!!! In short, it's a personal opinion as to the conditions of this place, and "we" (my daughter and I) certainly feel it is sub-standard and unacceptable. Keeneland Farms knows fully the "major problems" that exist. They're a business that will operate until the "wheels fall off", and as long as unknowing tenants will move in. I encourage everyone to establish a plan of attack, ie., moving, filing complaints, withholding rents, etc., that is suitable to your needs. I wish all of you the best and maybe we will all look at the experience as one to never forget!

I don't know who any of these people are complaing on this site. I have live in Keeneland Farms Apts since 2007, and outside of the ususal mess that can occur at any apartment. I have not had any of these problems. My apartment has never had a roach or bug problem ever and the staff and maintenance people are as timely as they can be. I have never had to wait for them more than 24 hours. Perhaps, its my attitude that gets me A1 sevice, and that fact that I don't try to let someone else borrow my card. If you know there is a car behind you that does not belong to your party why would you leave your card on the monitor! And, the last time I lived in an apartment that had roaches that I ultimately had to kill I only stayed for one year, the person complaining above says she has been at Keeneland farms since 2002. Seem like for all the money we are paying she could have been moved. Or is she just lying or keeping the roach problem going in her apt and other's by feeding and being nasty herself.
If your looking for an apartment you should take the time to really look for a good one yourself, reading these reviews will not really help you. Especially, since most of these people complaing are probably just upset that they got eviction notices when they could not afford to continue to live in Keeneland Farms.
Peace!

obviously, anonymous, you are still there because u are ghetto. ghetto people love the ghetto and can't acknowledge anything better. i moved out of the roach infested apartment after one year and the complex did not get bad until about 2006/2007 when management changed, that's the time it turned to the hood. i gave it a chance and it got worse. i no longer live in keeneland farms, so your little smart remarks are irrelevant at this time. Good luck and PEACE back at ya! stay hood!
