This place is ghetto, but not trashy. The building I moved it had a horrible smell in the hallway. I got the management to switch out the carpet, and it smells better now. The roaches like to come and hang out with me almost everyday, despite pest control. There's not a lot of them, but I hadn't seen any at my last 2 apartments, so let's say it's been an adjustment. My carpet is dirty (even after I got mgmt to clean it. they won't replace it). The geniuses that designed the units but the main A/C duct in the 1 bedrooms directly in front of the bedroom door, so you'll here your A/C all night. Also, the main A/C units on the outside of the building are next to the bedroom windows, so everytime someone's A/C comes on, you'll hear it. The wallpaper in my bathroom is horrible and doesn't even pretend to match anything. My toilet makes a weird noise every 5 minutes. Despite all of this, I think Kenwood is fairly priced, as I'm paying $490/month. You can't beat that in this area. The place is clean, gated, the outside is kept up pretty well, and the set up is cool. If the management weren't so responsive, I would have already broken my lease. Also, I hope you speak spanish, because I'd say 80% of the people that live here are mexican. The -------- in my building cook up food that stinks up the whole damn hallway!!!!!
