Dreaded Coming Home!

Granted, I am honestly not one to complain and I am a very laid back person who will almost always smile to strangers in passing. However, living at Lincoln Trace could turn an angel into the anti-christ.

The exterior was "so-so" but honestly nothing to complain about. On the interior, everything was remodeled, so it was a nice surprise when you walked in. Brand new kitchens, new floors, new carpets, etc.

The pool area was always well managed. Hardly ever saw a even a leaf in the pool. The lounge chairs were falling apart, so make sure you check for sturdiness before you plop down; I managed to fall through one and cut my back on a bolt (before you assume an gorilla weighs less than me... not true; I weigh 170 lbs).

As far as safety' The community was pretty nice, I, being sometime mindless, left my keys in the door on several occasions. Neighbors always politely knocked and reminded me of my mistake.

My biggest complaint: The two "guys" downstairs were LOUD ALL the time. If they were home, you couldn't hear your own TV. Don't think this would end around 9 PM... nope...it would go on until 2 or 3 AM; at least 2 nights of every week. No joke. Management did NOTHING but tell them to stop, time and time again. Even called the police on them so much that they knew me by name when they answered the phone. Management and the neighbors downstairs honestly showed little concern for my lack of sleep. However, a month before I moved out, they knocked on my door and brought a case of Milwaukee's Best beer in cans and wanted to party to make up for the problems they have caused. I was not amused.

Another complaint: I hope you love hip hop because this community will blast it as they drive through the complex. Do they honestly think that someone thinks... o.O.O.O WOW.. nice sound system; I can hear it in China; that makes me horny; he must have loads of money; let me go outside and drool. Absolutely no consideration for anyone at any hour.

The number of kids was unreal. They loved to knock on your door about everyday and play loudly in the hallways. Sooo sweet, NOT!

It's a "gated" community, but there was apparently a contest to see how many cars could break the gate down. Every other week the metal gate was warped and the wooden arm shattered on the ground. You have to laugh or go insane. Also, trying to get home every day was a nightmare. They have one lane for residents and the same lane for visitors. So you would always have Cornisha at the voice box screaming because her "boyfriend" wouldn't let her in for bootie call or Tyrone staring at the call-box wondering when his "weed" contact was going answer. Prepare for a 15 minute wait everyday just to get home at about 5-6 pm. A riot!

The trash dumpster is apparently used by the City of Atlanta. Always over-flowing and smelled un-Godly! During the summer you could see the steam coming out of top.

Lincoln Trace will rent to anyone, with this in mind, apply at your own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you up front. I counted the days to when my lease was up. I am a super nice person, but after living there, on the last day of my lease...I told the management how happy I was to be gone.

So right on. I can't believe I've stayed here as long as I have (out of convenience). I'm trying to move when my lease is up in Oct. The new management don't seem to give a damn - the place is going to hell in a handbasket.
