My family is helping a family from Hurricane Katrina and they rented a 3 bedroom apartment at Lincoln Trace. They signed a 6 month lease without being explained the penalties if they have to move due to employment issues before the lease obligations are met. After 3 months, they had to move because they could not afford the monthly rent. Now the apartment associates are claiming they owe $3,200, more than the 3 months rent remaining due to breaking their lease. FEMA has not given them assistance for living since October and now they are facing bad credit due to this lease.
