This will be more like a novel so I'll start now and return to add things later....where do I start....DON'T DO IT!!!! The staff, though they make subtle attempts from time to time, is truly unprofessional. They have a new manager every 6 months or so.... The first set of staff members were fired and 1 I believe jailed for stealing residents rent money.. There has been a murder earlier this year...2 buildings have burnt down this year....ROACHES GALORE!!!!! Pest control changes every few weeks therefore the problem is never truly resolved. Maintenance,wow, put it this way...the same things break in my townhouse consistently. I've had a hole cut out of my ceiling on 3-4 separate occasions now in an attempt to fix a leaking pipe from my upstairs tub which dripped down to my living room and wrecked pictures etc.... My air conditioning unit, the indoor and outdoor unit (not sure what it's called), constantly freezes up which causes hot air to blow out in the summer and leaves my floor soaking wet to the point where they have to have another company come out and take the carpet up and wet vacuum it. They are ALWAYS having water problems! You will definitely come home after a long days' work to non-running water. It's gotten so bad that we have had to stay the night at a hotel just to shower. For almost a year the water pressure in my place was so low that you couldn't wash clothes and shower at the same time because one would turn the other off. When this problem was consistently brought to them we were initially told that the part wasn't in their budget...WTF' Which prompted me to offer to pay for the part myself, I was desperate and wanted running water... GHETTO FABULOUS! it's crazy because the surrounding area is actually nice but this place is pretty much the projects smack dab in the middle of the burbs...people fixing their cars in the middle of the parking lot, hood rats advertising their goods like prostitutes walking the corner, trash is usually overflowing in the compactor, the gate NEVER WORKS FOR LONGER THAN 2 DAYS...again I could go on forever but I'll end it here and add more later...bottom line RECONSIDER! gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7

WOW! What a dump! I had that impression when I drove thru the place. The filth & the scary-looking people were enough to steer me away. But why did you stay for 2 YEARS?! And anytime that a rental unit has conditions (like vermin,mold growth,no A/C in summer, no heat in winter, excessive & chronic water damage/leaks) that make it uninhabitable, the renter cannot (by LAW) be required to pay rent. You tell the mgmt that until the problem is fixed or they move you to an equivalent inhabitable unit, you will not pay your rent. And any expenses you are forced to incure because of the problems (like moving, repair or hotel rental expenses) should be reimbursed to you. If not, you sue them (probably in small claims court, unless the damages exceed the $ limit for this). Learn your rights as a renter (consult with a renter's lawyer, if necessary); if more people did, places like this would either clean up their acts or they'd go out of business!
