I have not move in to Park Valley yet, but the staff was very friendly and the complex looked very clean. I work for another apartment community and understand that when you have almost 500 apartments that were built in the 80's that things can go wrong...People need to stop being so bitter and be a little more patient with leasing consultants and the management company. I mean we all have jobs and there are some things in our control and some things not and sometimes some of us mess up from time to time. But over all it looks great and I am very pleased. I will update once I move in.

First of all, I love how people who don't even live there can come in and just dismiss all of the bad reviews as people being bitter. Honestly, you shouldn't be allowed to give a review unless you actually live there on the property. Secondly, they were nice to you when they were getting you to sign your lease? Wow. I'm shocked. ... Seriously though, I know a few very nice used car salesmen who would love to meet you. ... Of course they're nice to you right now. They want you to move in. And if I sound snarky, I am. I'm a little peeved that you so easily dismiss my complaints and the complaints of other people here as just us being bitter. How about this? You come back and leave a review when you're getting ready to move out. I want to see the transformation first hand.

Thank you kgninpo!!! Bitter??? Not me! Just telling it how I saw it. And honestly, I've noticed that most people who are posting all these positive comments just recently signed leases. Maybe the 34% satisfaction (or shall I say, dissatisfaction) rate made them change a few things...that, or they've just learned to pick up the dead rats in a timely fashion! Good Luck!

I have actually lived at Park Valley for about two years now. My dissatisfied comments would be that:
(1) The gate was working on and off for a while. There is a camera now, so whoever is braking the pole and messing up the gate seems to have stopped this nuissance.
(2) Under the old management there were rats. I saw them at the front gate. I tried to kill them on my way out with my vehicle. We get notices to not leave trash out, but someone in my building still does what he/she wants. Maybe that is why we have had rats out?
(3) The speed limit is really low, but a lot of the drivers there choose to ignore the speed bumps and stop signs. That is annoying and dangerous to those that walk to get their mail, the pool gym, or the management office.
(4) Some of the new neighbors seem to ignore that their music (if you can call it that!) is not only too loud for their apartment, but for their building. Whoever is pumping up the volume and everything else on Saturday mornings has got to get a life! I am trying to sleep, I am a graduate student and I need mostly quiet in my life. When I moved in, I was told that the building I moved into was the quiet building!
Finally, these are my observation, thoughts and comments. I am not mean or hoping to deter someone from comming up here. I want to keep the community as clean and quiet as it was when I moved in. I speak the truth and I do so to help guide someone's decision.

Okay... I am the one that posted the original message, and I still feel the same way a year later... I love it here! The staff has continued to be helpful and nice. The community is very claen and quiet... Of course you have to remember that you live in an apartment, so you will hear things from time to time. I actually have been more impressed than I expected to. I would recomend this community to anyone who can be pleased. Some people just want to complain. If you do not like apartment living... MOVE!!! Buy a house! The staff does not want you stressing them out anymore either... To all who are considering this place, it is wonderful and relaxing. Thanks Park Valley!
