Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
to Park Valley and so far here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
Brand new stainless steel appliances and faux granite countertops in kitchen & bathroom. Beautiful faux stone flooring along with brand new carpets. Very modern looking. Modern & new looking office, pool, new gym, and lounge area with free wi-fi. You can definitely see where this complex spends its $$. Definitely more money spent on the forefront and show apartments than on the actual apartment itself but with that being said you get what you pay for. Park Valley apartments are very reasonable in rent price.
Cons:
None of the modern refurbishing were finished before my move in date which ended up getting extended a couple of days. Last refurbishings were finally finished about 4 days after my actual move in day. Park Valley has spent all of this $ 'modernizing' their apartments with new appliances but they forgot about the paint color. This color happens to be an awful off-white with a yellow tint looking color. Also, they paint there trim/molding the SAME color as the walls!'!' Ive never seen this before and the color gives the apt a dingy/old look. Especially, when the show apartment has a beautiful taupe color to the walls and white trim (so one would assume that they were getting the same). Although, the apt does let you paint, as long as you paint the walls back to the awful dingy color when you leave. Hmmm, I dont quite understand that considering you are helping them increase the value of the apt with modern colors like taupe.
Overall, everyone in the office has been exceptionally nice and helpful. I believe they are doing their best to increase the value of the apartments and also please their tenants.
