Overall Good Experience

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I moved in June 2006 and moved out in June 2008. When I first moved in the apartments were called Post Valley, by the time I moved out it was switched to Park Valley. Overall the complex was good. It's gated so I never worried about or had to deal with safety issues. The grounds were kept up nicely. I did have a few bugs in my apartment, so I had to get it sprayed and made sure I always kept it clean, which is understandable considering all the trees that are around, so don't be alarmed when you see bee's on your patio. Parking was always adequate. Not too much noise, although I had one loud neighbor under me and I could hear her walking really loud for some reason. When Park Valley took over, they did some construction (some of which I did not see) but they repainted the driveways and remodeled the gym. Staff was always friendly, the newer staff were more "homeboy and homegirl" but they were still friendly. The only beware warnings I will give is: 1) Don't wait too late to take out the trash, or you will see huge rats running around the dumpster (which is thankfully far from the complex) 2) Your mailbox may be far from where you stay (mine was) and I never understood that logic 3) You will probably have a few bugs, but not many. Other than that, I can't think of anything that would deter me from moving there again if I had to under a "Best Place to live under $1000 budget" for a one bedroom.
