My boyfriend and I moved in this May and could not be happier. We came for a nightmare situation in VA Highlands and love where we are now! The staff is courteous and any problem we have had has been handled quickly. For those checking out this place, let me hit on the things I think are most important:
1) The 2-br floor plans are great! They were built with thought and care. We share only the kitchen and dining room walls with next door neighbors and the upstairs unit totally mirrors ours. They are well insulated and we hardly ever hear anything.
2) There is lots of green space. We have a new puppy and the entire community is very dog friendly. I would guess 1 out of 3 have dogs. We live in a bldg with only 4 units and 3 tenants have dogs (which we never hear). There is a dog park and neighbors use it often. We would not have adopted our puppy if we had lived anywhere else.
3) LOTS of community events. They try to do lots of things for tenants and usually have a good showing.
4) Good workout facilities.
5) Great managment and landscaping. Since May the grass has been cut regularly, bushes trimmed often and pine straw re-laid 4 times.
6) SAFE!!! Very safe community, truly "gated". Whenever the gate is broken or not functioning, it is corrected very quickly.
7) Great pool, always has spaces available and overlooks 6 tennis courts which have lights for night play!
8) You can paint, which helps. The apartments are not new, but are huge and the painting helps to update them.
9) Great walking community. Over 70 acres of natural, mature, landscape and a lake, which makes an evening walk really nice.
10) SO CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!!! Vinings Jubilee in roughly 5 minutes, Cumberland Mall with updated restaurants, COSTCO and shopping, 3 minutes. My family lives in downtown Atlanta and I can be there in 15 minutes.

Wow, I've never read so many lies! I am wondering if management put this up since so many people are leaving (I wish I could, but I can't get get out of my lease...
1) The 2-br floor plans are great! They were built with thought and care. WHO TALKS ABOUT THE FLOOR PLANS WHO ACTUALLY LIVES HERE? PERHAPS THEY WERE BUILT IN THE 1960'S WITH CARE...
2) There is lots of green space. We have a new puppy and the entire community is very dog friendly. I would guess 1 out of 3 have dogs.
HMMMM...DOGS BARKING ALL THE TIME AND STEPPING IN S&!T ALL THE TIME-SOUNDS NICE.
We live in a bldg with only 4 units and 3 tenants have dogs (which we never hear). SURE.
There is a dog park and neighbors use it often. NO ONE IS EVER IN THE DOG 'PARK'.
3) LOTS of community events. They try to do lots of things for tenants and usually have a good showing. ACTUALLY, MANY EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED BECAUSE NO ONE SHOWED UP OR RSVP'D (ACCORDING TO THE SIGNS).
4) Good workout facilities. MACHINES ALWAYS BROKEN (OR STOLEN, ALONG WITH THE TVS FOR THAT MATTER).
5) Great managment and landscaping. Since May the grass has been cut regularly, bushes trimmed often (WATERED AT ALL HOURS AGAINS THE WATER BAN) and pine straw re-laid 4 times. NICE--THATS WHERE ROACHES AND TERMITES LIVE. THANKS.
6) SAFE!!! Very safe community, truly "gated". Whenever the gate is broken or not functioning, it is corrected very quickly. PERHAPS, BUT THAT MEANS THAT PEOPLE WHO LIVE HERE HAVE NO RESPECT FOR PROPERTY AND BREAK THE GATE ALL THE TIME. WHAT DO YOU THINK THOSE PEOPLE WILL DO TO YOUR CAR OR YOUR APPARTMENT?
7) Great pool, always has spaces available and overlooks 6 tennis courts which have lights for night play! LIGHTS DONT COME ON AND THERE ARE DRUNKEN PARTIES AT THE POOL AT ALL HOURS (MY APT OVERLOOKS THE POOL).
8) You can paint, which helps. The apartments are not new, but are huge and the painting helps to update them. SURE YOU CAN PAINT, BUT BE PREPARED TO PAINT IT BACK WHITE AGAIN OR THEY WILL CHARGE YOU LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO TO ME WHEN I ASKED TO GET OUT OF MY LEASE.
9) Great walking community. Over 70 acres of natural, mature, landscape and a lake, which makes an evening walk really nice. TH ONLY TRUTH TO THIS WHOLE COMMENT--THE LAKE IS NICE.
TRUE, WHICH MEANS HORRIBLE TRAFFIC BECAUSE EVERYONE GOES THROUGH HERE AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER.

Whoever annonymous is is a prick. I have found that the people who typically complain the loudest are the ones who A.) Couldn't pay their rent on time and were hassled by management over it (which you deserve), B.) Paid their rent but the check was returned and were hassled by management about it (agin, deserved), or C.) Tried to break the lease early and got pissed off there was a hassle about it even though you are told up front what the pentalties are for terminating the lease early.
