The GATE

My boyfriend I just moved here in November and we have been very please with the service and spacious floor plans but for the past two weeks someone has been knocking down our front gate arm at least once a day. I have called the front office to ask what it going on and they kindly brush me off like its none of my business. I don't not feel safe and I will reconsider signing another lease with Park at Vinings. You would think that they would have caught the person who is knocking it down everyday sometimes during the middle of the day and even rush hour. I wish they would consider this a bigger problem and that their residents do not feel safe.

Well I live here also, and I must say the person running through the gate is pretty ridiculous, but its not managements fault. Someone has to have seen this idiot continuously run though the gate and the resident need to step up if they see and report the cars license plate to the front office. There is also the metal gate that closes so that is added security.

I recently posted a rating and I am still very pleased with the apartment, however, I am a little annoyed with the gate arm continuously being broken. I mean it is becoming a bit ridiculous. Whoever it is needs to be caught and charged. I was under the impression that the community had cameras at the gate. If so, the person who is continuously doing this should have been caught by now. the metal gate is helpful, but it does close slowly allowing non residents to slide right through when the gate arm is broken. I understand that it is not management's fault personally, however, it is the responsibility of management to take extra procautions to aid in catching the person/persons responsible so that the residents do feel safer.

I live here and don't think the gate makes a difference either way. if you want to get in you will, and I know that I have gotten into other complexes without getting buzzed in because sometimes you can't get a hold of the person you are trying to reach or there is some kinda malfunction. The gate does not do crap! At least it gets fixed the next day or as soon as possible. People are dumb enough to break it and cause damage to their car so be it.

What is this.. your first apartment with a gate. They all have broken gates. It is easy for anyone to bypass a gate in any apt complex...especially if they are trying to. Although they do have a security camera pointing at the gate and should be able to record the license of any vehicle breaking the gate. Unless the camera is just for show.

This was really annoying when it kept happening, but the management company installed a video camera soon after it started. There haven't really been any problems with the gate since then. I really enjoy the complex, and have renewed my lease.
