The Village was my first apartment. The grounds are beautiful, well kept, love the pools, nice gym and I liked the layout of my apartment very much. For the most part I felt very safe there. People seem to complain about security, but I never had an issue, in fact it was kind of annoying at times when I had guests. Also, the staff were always friendly and quite helpful. Occasionally I would hear my neighbors, but very rarely.

I would say it was great first apartment EXCEPT for a couple problems. First, BUGS. The first day I moved in I was so excited until I walked into the bathroom to find a huge water bug in the bathroom. That was a sign....From that point on, it seemed there was a different type of insect infesting my apartment about every 2 months or so. First let me say I keep my apartment spotless, never leave food out, always clean dishes right after using them. So I was very disturbed to find roaches on a regular basis. Other bugs, silver fish, centipedes, tons of little back bugs with a little orange stripe ('), long black bugs with a bunch of legs that slither there way around ('). When requested, they would always send exterminators in a timely manor.....but really this was ridiculous. ...and the bugs always return. Yuck!

A couple other things to watch out for is first, outgoing mail. On several occasions I would drop mail in the box and it would take forever to get to the recipient and on some occasions it never made it to them at all. I stopped mailing things from there. Second, ALL of my panties were stolen from the washer (13 pair to be exact, out of three different loads), and another time, a nightgown was stolen. So watch out if you leave your items in the washer or dryer.

I promise you I am not exaggerating. So if you're thinking about renting there, take some time weigh the pros and cons. My biggest issue, obviously was insects.
