The Village at Lake Park is a total setup. When going to view the property it seems all great because they highlight the size of the community, the quietness of outside, the availability of the dry cleaning service and athletic club, and highlight one of there good apartments. Upon moving in to Village at Lake Park, I was informed that my unit would have a sunroom since it was on the terrace level instead of a patio/balcony area and that the apartment would not be at a higher risk of an insect/bug problem by being a ground level apartment. Well, I go look at the apartment and it is not a terrace apartment with a sun room. Also as I moved my furniture in, I began to notice more and more insects/bugs in the apartment. I have called the leasing office to have them come and spray and it has not helped. If anything, it made the problem worse since I have seen more insects/bugs since the initial spraying. Additionally, the leasing agent forgot to inform us that residents can let their animals roam freely amongst the property. Thus when I leave my apartment, I constantly smell cat and dog poop. Also I have allergies that are constantly aggravated by residents being able to allow their pets to roam freely. The leasing office does not inform you that there is a free gym available for resident use and the resident services department has attitude when you ask them about the free fitness center for residents. The gate is also a problem, the front gate security company does not speak English and you have not clue what they are saying when you call to register a guest for a visit. This management company is also too cheap to make you a copy of a key. For example upon moving into my unit, I was advised that I would only receive one mailbox key and that if any other occupants needed a key, we would have to make a copy on our own. The leasing company also only give you one walking gate pass and remote car pass. They require that you purchase each individually per household for any additional needs that the home may require. So if I want to go for a walk on the trail, I have to wait until my roommate gets home so that I can use the walking gate pass to get in since I have the remote for gate. The apartments are very noisy in that I can hear everything that my neighbor above me does. Each time they flush their toilet, I can hear it. Each time they take a bath I can hear it. Even when they wash dishes, I can hear it. Moreover, the residents leave trash in the breezeways for days and it stinks as I walk to my apartment from the trash sitting outside other residents apartments. Now, these are only my opinions of this community and I only wanted give prospective residents a broad view of what they could be getting into by moving into this community.

I disagree with all your statements.When you get a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment you receive 2 keys and 2 gate passes along with one remote control gate opener.The apartments are always quite unless you are at the pool and people do like to scream and have fun at the pool or while playing tennis.This is an apartment complex not your own home where you are guaranteed complete quiet except for your neighbors who could be trash who party constantly and leave their trash out and what are you going to do then? But wait if you could afford a house you would be living in one. So, nevermind about that statement.It is true we have an ATm,5 pools or more,11 tennis courts,a small gym that is free to the residents but much smaller.You are shown the apartment that you will be living in and you get to inspect it before moving in..why if you have allergies why did you request an apartment on the first floor?You might have had to be put on a waiting list for an apartment that you wanted since these apartments are all taken and I remember first wanting to live on the first floor but they did not have one available so I decided to live on the third floor with a sunroom.Best decision I ever made.It sounds like you never leave your apartment-so I suggest you leave your apartment and get a job so that you are not contantly in your apartment and you only need a key pass when you leave the gates of the apartment complex and why leave when their is a 2 1/2 mile walking trail that does not require a pass since you stay on the property the entire time.Go to one of the 5 pools and get a tan since you are probably white as snow going by what you said on your post.You get one key if you live in The Meadows since those mailboxes are old but still work and why don't you stand up to your roommate and get the mailbox key so that since you stay home all the time.You can check the mail?If you live in any other neighborhood I am sure you can afford the 1.00 it costs to get a key made or maybe you can't since you don't work.If you live on the first floor it is common knowledge that bugs are apart of life and be glad they came and sprayed for bugs for free since you sound like a cheap person who can't afford to even get a key made for your mailbox.When they come and spray for bugs it keeps the bugs away unless you probably got fined $50.00 a bag for leaving your trash out and are bitter about that and therefore you are attracting bugs.You can also report your neighbors and they will be charged the fee for leaving their trash out.Their is a leash law and pets are always on their leashes and if you notice a pet without their leash on call the office and if you still don't get a response then call animal control and make a report.Find out where the people live who don't keep their pets on leashes and make a report to the authorities and they will get a fine.As for the gate I am sorry but you are so wrong..They all speak perfect English and I forgot my pass one time and had to show ID and tell them everyone who was on my lease in order to get in the guest gate and I did and they let me in.I have never had to arrange for a guest to come to my apartment they just call me when someone asks to be allowed into my aparmnet complex and when they do they call me and ask me if I allow this person to be let in.They also ask who they are visiting and check the apartment number to make sure the name matches the apartment.It sounds like you are making untrue remarks and yet you are not complaining to the office like you are supposed to in all the remarks you have made.The gym is not free to let you know it costs an additional 15.00 a month per person to let you know.They have smaller gyms that are free to go in and I learned this when they showed me a map of the complex and told me straight up before I moved in.The also have a hair stylist and someone who does massages.It is not free but it is the same cost just like the valet dry cleaning of what it would cost outside the complex.I have never heard about anyone being allergic to dog poop you are the first I have ever heard of to be diagnosed with this disease.I suggest you go to a shrink because everything you have stated is an Over statement as I have never had anyone in the leasing office be rude to me and if they were I would COMPLAIN.You have not complained about anything.I am sure they would be willing to move you if you reported the trash your neighbors left out and if they continued to do so which 50 dollars per trash bag is a hefty fine why not complain?You are just complaing here on the boards and you only stated you got attitude which I think is a crock of BS because I have never had anyone be rude to me.This place is not a setup.You get what you pay for..and I pay for a wonderful apartment complex with a huge apartment with low gas bills and I pick my own extras like movie channels and such to add to my experience here.It states you lived here from 2007 to 2007 so I hope that means you have moved out already because if you lived here a year that would be from 2007-2008.I guess you need to get out more and maybe take some classes at the local college down the street. YOu gave safety 3 stars out of 5 and yet you complained about the gate...dosen't make sense? You gave the office staff two stars and if they are so rude why didn't you give them one star or no stars? I can only hear one neighbor and that is the one who shares a wall with me.I do not hear anything downstairs or across the hall from me.Since you hear them taking a bath,washing dishes,going to the bathroom, etc..it sounds like you need a night our or perhaps a day at work.Go to the office tell them you have a 2 bedroom apartment and everyone else gets two gate passes and one remote so you want your other pass. You just complain on the boards but you refuse to speak up to the people who can change the problems you are having.To people who want to live here or who are even interested in these apartments please don't listen to this person who obviously got fined for leaving his/her trash out and is not bitter about it.You would think if his/her neighbors left the trash out then they would complain and make them pay the fine.PIGS atrract bugs and it seems to me from your rant-DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS PERSON-they clearly need some professional if not a month or two at a mental heath facility and then they would see how good they actually have it even in their dirty apartment.Get a life will you.Go for a walk in the 5 different neighborhoods we have here where you don't need a pass to roam free...take a swim..play some tennis..get over miserable life and go try and have a life!
