I stayed in the Village for 2 years and, in the beginning, felt good about the landscaping, jogging trail etc. maintenance. Bath tub clogs always and Toilet flush went wrong a couple of times. Don't stay at home when servie people come, they will be amazingly rude to you :)

Except Donna, the other management staff will ask money to even smile at you!
Here comes the best part: For a 600 Sq. Ft. apartment, I was paying a rent of $650 and to my shock I found out that the new leases are only for $588-$600 for the same floor plan, after staying here for 2 years. I was told a hell of a '---- & bull' story to justify this.

Utility bills:
---------------
(1) Water charges hit the roof when management changed and when ISTA bills stopped. We got water bills directly from the city of Smyrna. (So convenient that ther will be no one to question about!) I was paying around $52 per month on an average.
Looks like, the water they spend for everything in the apartment is divided across the resident bills.

(2) Charter is a b$%Sh&t. They monopolize the apartment and you don't have anywhere to go.

(3) Vectren Gas company charges purely on guesswork! December=$140; March=$75 etc.
Even if you go on Vacation for 15 days and come back, the charges will be the same. Will make you suspect whether someone is using your apartment while you are away!

Pros:
-----
(1) Relatively safer to other neihboring apartments.
(2) Decent walking trails, Gym, Pools, Gardens etc.
(3) Spacious/convenient parking lots.
(4) Nearer to the perimeter and all restaurants/malls on Cobb pkwy.

Cons:
----
(1) You pay higher than what you get, in all aspects.
(2) Useless staff.
(3) Increasing Jerky characters with loud music in cars at midnight.
(4) Lately, there are a lot of foreign origin people staring at me. 2 guys knocked the door downstairs from 12AM to 2AM. Security is scared to come near these people :)
(5) Don't expect the security deposit in return. They might sometimes charge you for just cleaning the apartment after you left!
