Prior to moving in I was told about all of the great amenities which included the 6 car washes. After moving in I found that the car washes have been out of order for the past 2 years.
I am also seeing a lot of bugs.
My closet smells like the worst kind of body odor and it is starting to make my clothes stink. It literally smells like crap.
Someone hit my car in the parking lot and did not leave a message. I park away from everyone to avoid this and it still happened.
I haven't received my first bills yet but from what I have heard, I should expect a $100 water bill and high gas bills. I live in a one bedroom apartment and am always out of state.
2 eyes on my stove do not work.
Apparently I am the only one who picks up after my dog.
Someone gutted some animal in front of my doorstep. Yes, you read that right. I had guts at my doorstep. There was also trash at my doorstep. I am guessing it was from the same person.
I moved here for the price and it seemed like a quiet neighborhood. It is becoming obvious that the place is not even close to what I hoped for. I should have read these ratings first!!
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!
I have a feeling this won't be my last negative rating.

The water in the car wash is turned off because of restrictions put in place by the city of Smyrna. Pretty much no one in metro Atlanta has been able to wash their car at home for the last two years due to the drought conditions and low water levels in Lake Lanier.
Why don't you have maintenance fix your stove? They've always come within 24 hours to fix anything in my apartment.
Yes, many people do not pick up after their dog but that is a problem everywhere.
This place is perfect, but no place is.

go_veg's comments sound to me like someone who works in the office, it's too sweet.
Anonymous - my husband and I hate this place and everything it stands for. We lived there 3 1/2 years and couldn't wait to finally get out by purchasing a house. I've lived in a lot of apartments in ATL over the years before buying a house and this place by far is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I'd love to see your comments after you receive your first 6 months of utility bills. Actually, other than the water, your electric won't be bad as it hasn't been very hot yet. Wait till winter though. You know you share your water bill with the rest of the building? Right.. they don't tell you that, so you could be in a bldg. with a family of 3 kids who do tons of laundry, showers, baths & you'll be paying for that out of your hard earned money. I'm sorry you didn't read all the reviews before deciding on this place. Remember a good consumer is a smart consumer. One other thing, make sure you're home when they come fix the stove (or anything else for that matter), twice we had stuff stolen when they had workmen come into our place when we weren't home. Of course unless you have a camera you can't prove it so it's your word against theirs, but I dare to say, most people know full well when something is suddenly suspiciously missing.

Thats fairly ignorant to assume simply because someone has something good to say they must work there. I love it here my water on my current bill is $6.33 no where near $100. The only thing I have a slight issue with is the AUM Admin Charge.

to tbryan: you're the ignorant one. i also believe go_veg's comments are a little "suspect" to say the least. everyone is entitled to an opinion; so the name-calling on your part was uncalled for.
to anonymous: you have every right to be upset- especially about the guts and your car. some people have no respect or consideration for others or for where they live.
i agree with most of what htmnky posted (especially about the water bill and about being home with maintenance). good luck.

$6.33 water bill? Are you counting the $11 sewer use fee that Post never charged their tennants? Now that the restrictions have been lifted, have they opened up the car wash again? Has the staff at the leasing office explained what caused that huge fire? Do they even answer the phone when you call? They used to have an answering service but it seemed like they never checked their messages as I used to have to keep calling only to find out that they never received them. How about all the mold remediation they had to do without telling anyone why they were doing it? I'm sure someone had gotten sick over it but I could never get a straight answer at the office. Again that was provided someone actually picked up the phone there.

You can get into the room where your water tank is and turn the setting down. I did it and my water bill went WAY down. My maintenance issues are always dealt with in a timely manner, and I have to deal with the occasional bug or 2 getting in, but I live in a ground floor with a bunch of trees as my porch view. I expected it. I also put some insect killer around my porch so most of the bugs die that get on the porch, die on the porch before making their way inside.

I have lived here for 5 months. So far, so good. I had a small maintenance issue late in the evening. Maintenance was there quickly. I was impressed. I live on the top floor and therefore have not had a bug problem (yet). I am from Florida, so I think I can handle it. Dog owners do not always abide the rules. I have lived in several apartments in Marietta and Kennesaw. I would see the same there but life continues to go on.

By the way, I am the original author of this review. I have changed my opinion of these apartments. I am happy here so the ratings have been changed accordingly. If I have any issues, you will hear about it here and I will modify the ratings as needed!
