When my husband and I moved into the Village back in July 2007 we were so excited about living there. Now two and a half years later we finally are done with apartment living! The "lovely" Turn-key Specialist Lynn AKA: The Spawn of ----- came to inspect our apartment upon us leaving. She presentd us with an $840 bill of charges we owed!!! That is only $40 less than we paid for rent every month!! We were charged $110 for a "blue mark" on the wallpaper. We were told since the wallpaper is no longer in stock it would have to be completely re-done! UMMMMMM... no DUH it is no longer in stock... the wallpaper no doubt is from 1982. They also charge OUTRAGEOUS fees if you have even the slightest things wrong with the carpet. We were billed approx. $500!!! HELLO-- we lived there for 2 years and 4 months-- obviously there is going to be wear and tear on the carpet-- of course there might be stains in the dining room-- There are usually people eating dinner there!
Don't bother calling the office and leaving messages-- they NEVER call back. I currently am waiting for a call from accounting, but I'm obvioulsy not holding my breath. RUN- FAR AWAY. I'd love this place if it wasn't for the management!

DON'T PAY IT!!! My husband and I encountered the same issue and it's B.S. as they need to find ways of bringing money in. For about 6 months I got periodic calls from a collection agency, but they finally stopped as I suspect they get so many of these they eventually realize people aren't going to pay. It's easy to dispute if it ever shows up on credit reports too because the agencies are also used to seeing these kinds of outrageous charges. As long as you can prove you're not at fault.
