Update: i have been here since july, still loving it here. the only problem i am having now is that there are so many teenagers in my building and the people under us play their music so loud that the base from the speakers vibrate the floor in my oldest daughters room. i just get really irritated with people that do not respect the fact that they are in an apartment complex and that there are other people living around them. other than that, i love the grounds, everyone in the leasing office, our apartment, etc. if i can change the issues i mentioned, it would be close to perfect. guess i can't have it all, huh....

Maybe it's just my building but I've managed to talk to 4 other tenants who say their bills are outrageous. From where I was before, a similar sized apartment on a top floor, in a hotter climate, with an Electric company who has a monopoly on the state of Florida, my bill never went over $130 in the hottest months. I'll grant it that water was free and we didn't have to pay for sewage or trash but, that combined should end up around $40... which it is according to these bills. They charge by the gallon but my water usage has been a clean 1,400 gallons every month for 6 months and I know my usage changes, especially when soap and ammonia come with the water right out of the faucets. I think that's an Atlanta thing not just the neighborhood. I can't even cook right with the water here. The point is I don't think there is any justification in a $270 electric bill unless there is an overdue payment.

my electric bill for october was 180 and for september it was 140. no problems with ammonia or soap in my water. i talked to my mom about the bill and she believes the amount is reasonable. i will keep an eye on the bill, but what can you do?
