A week before we moved in a shooting took place, a month after we moved in we started seeing ants, not just a few mind you, but hundreds. After talking with other tenants we found out that this was well, just a regular occurrence. We would complain to property management and they would say give the insecticide time to work. We would and next thing you know there would be more than there were before. Our power was cut off during the summer. Not by the power company, but by the kids that live here. They cut off all of the power in our building. After talking to other tenants, this has happened time and again. There have been people out and walking around at all times of the night, I know this is an apartment but walking from breeze way to breezeway looking very suspicious is something else entirely. After saying something to them from my balcony, they take off. Hmmm, kind of curious. Maybe if there was an actual courtesy patrol, some of this would stop. I have asked about the courtesy patrol, and was told that the officer had moved. Has he been moving since July, because I haven't seen one patrolling courtesy vehicle not even once. Also the practical jokes have gone as far as putting BB's in valve stems of cars to flatten them. When you get up to go to work and your tires are flat, and you are late to work, you tend to get into trouble. But I guess the worst thing to happen since we have lived here was a situation involving someone who had access to all of the apartments. This individual had a criminal background that involved the inability to keep his perverted hands off of children. After the initial office staff was let go, the one individual kept on staff was a man who was recently arrested charged with several counts of aggravated child molestation!!! Here is the question that I have. DON'T OR SHOULDN'T APARTMENT COMPLEXES DO BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ALL EMPLOYEES' I mean it would be nice to know if your maintenance guy had a background as a thief, or maybe someone who had a prior conviction involving children and the inabilty to keep thier hands off or playing truth or dare! Just curious. I have sent the manager a letter of complaint and have heard nothing in response. When I turned in the letter, the manager acted like "Oh here we go, another complaint." he seemed to roll his eyes and make it seem like no big deal. So with the lack of response, and the lack of concern, maybe he didn't or isn't going to do anything about it. As for the construction, there are cracks starting to form in the walls.
