Looks can be deceiving

We thought we had found a nice community and apartment to live in. But after just a little while we found out differently. They paint before you move in so you don't see the mold that lives around the windows. You can't stop it! I guess the windows were not put in properly or poor materials were used in general for the apartments. Some people say they crack their windows open to try to stop it, but that isn't very practical for your electric bill. Then the noise, the always broken gate, the loose kids running around(I mean children of ALL ages; from like 3 and up), the ants that they claim they have sprayed for(NOT!!!), the trash in the breezeways, the dog poop everywhere from inconsiderate tenants, no overhead lights, electric sockets that don't work, poor upkeep on the furnace filter(has been changed once in the 20 months we have been here), I could keep going on and on. Generally you get the idea, there is just too much to spoil your living here. Plus rent goes up every time the lease is up(couldn't move after first lease due to finaces or we would have been gone gone gone). Then when moving out they give you a list of everything they are going to keep from your deposit(which in turn means you are not getting it back so kiss it good-bye when handing it over to them). Even if nothing is wrong with the apartment when moving out they keep it for "cleaning" purposes. Although the place is 100% clean already. Besides having to paint the new tenant could move right in. Basically, don't move here. You can find better.
