Not Worth the Hassle

As a 2-year resident, I'm going to have to agree with several of the previous complaints. I have lived in these apartments for two years and I cannot WAIT until my current lease expires. I will not be renewing, especially since my rent will increase ANOTHER $40 for my one-bedroom.
Most of the staff is borderline rude, condescending, and unfriendly.
You can hear every move your neighbors make (heavy footfalls, slamming doors/cabinets, squeaky mattresses and ecstatic moaning during sex, etc...).
I've had a problem with my oven, a leaky ceiling and ants in my kitchen (I'm convinced the "pest control" the property provides is just water.) The maintenance manager is about the best thing on the staff. When he is actually GIVEN the work order, he is timely and polite.
The so-called "security gate" is sometimes inoperative or just left open. Recently, SOMEONE in the leasing office deleted some of the resident information from the gate. So for 4 days, despite my patience with the leasing staff, I was unable to use my gate card to access my own apartment community. This was QUITE inconvenient, especially if you arrived home late at night. It is rather difficult to wait for someone to tailgate through the gate at 1 a.m. The worst part was the unwillingness of the leasing staff to do ANYTHING to help residents who were locked out of the gate until the problem could be fixed. I KNOW there has to be a universal code that opens the gate....
I had to call the emergency maintenance person so he could let me in. In spite of the late hour, he was extremely nice and apologetic When the problem was finally corrected...it really wasn't!!! I was promised on 3 separate occasions that the issue was resolved and it wasn't. I never received an apology.
All in all....I would have to advise people to steer clear. The special rates when I moved in are long gone. Way too expensive for what you deal with on a regular basis.
