I've been in my apartment for over a year now. When I first moved here there were some Jamaicans living above me. Several times I would walk out of my apartment to find my neighbor sitting on the stairs smoking marijuana. I reported it to the leasing office and all they could say was call the courtesy officer next time it happens(by the way...the courtesy officer has another job and is very rarely on the property when you call). That family moved out, but the new tenants are worse. The floors and walls are very thin. I can hear this woman's children bumping and running back and forth across the floor all day and up until about midnight. I work at night so this is a major inconvenience to me. I can hear everything they say and if we're in the bathroom at the same time I can hear her urinating. Her washing machine sounds like it's coming through my ceiling and don't get me started on the noise from the shower. I've asked her to keep it down and that lasted for that night only. I've reported it to the leasing office, but they're not going to do anything that requires them to do any work. I love my apartment and the community, but I'm tired of hearing all the noise from the tenants above me. If you move here, don't move in a terrace level apartment. Move to the top so you can get on someone else's nerves.
