The management loves to write nice things about themselves. Truth is, I am breaking my lease after only two weeks because my apartment is disgusting. The dining room ceiling leaks when my upstairs neighbors use their dishwasher, the bathroom floor is PEELING off around the corners of the tub, and the interiors of my cabinets are stained three inches high with water marks. The "new carpeting" was stained, I found a dead waterbug in my dishwasher, and the porch ceiling was covered in mold. I am not kidding.

When I invited the manager, Nicole, into my apartment to assess this damage, she suggested that I leave Winnstead because "budget constraints" would not allow her to address the problems.

These apartments are nearly 20 years old and falling apart. Management is rude, and they will not fix anything. Do not make the mistake of renting here.

why didn't you point this out on YOUR MOVE-IN inspection??? I did, and they fixed everything they asked me to. I thought they were great... we all know that these apts aren't new.. duh.

I pointed EVERYTHING out on my MOVE-IN, and Emily did not handle it. Nicole simply said that she couldn't fix anything, and that my best option was to move out. So I did! DUH! Broke lease immediately! Emily and Nicole comprise the rude management staff. Thanks!!

I think we were lucky when we lived there in terms of the condition of the apartment. These people are not lying about Nicole and Emily, they are making people run away and not recommend the place. I thought Alex was pretty decent but with a maintenance staff of basically one what could you do. EVERYONE is afraid of Nicole and I don't know how she keeps her job.
