I lived there around 2005-2006. We never had one break in and the neighbors were quiet it was even safe to walk to the b ball courts and play ball with my nieces and nephews while guys stood around. I never heard a gunshot or saw and crime. By the way, it offers a lovely view of the mountain.
Unless things have changed this is a nice place to live when you're trying to get on your feet but I wouldn't advise raising a family here.
