More bad than good

I have lived here for about 9 months. For the most part I wish I had read the reviews before moving in here. There are roaches in the kitchens and bathrooms even though they have exterminators come spray. At night when you turn on the kitchen light it's like you broke up a roach Freak-Nic!
The management is horrible. They are extremely lazy and don't want to do ANYTHING. The morning after we moved in the people upstairs blasted their radio, waking up my infant daughter. When the office opened we called and complained. It took about 2 months of morning music and daily calls for them to finally do anything. Once those people moved out a crazy lady and her boyfriend moved in downstairs. He worked for the maintenance team. She was just crazy. The floors/ceilings are paper thin, and anytime my daughter made the slightest sounds she would bang on the floor/ceiling. She even knocked on our frontdoor a couple of time, scaring my pregnant wife each time. When crazy lady left for school each day her boyfriend came home and blasted his bass machine. At first management would ask them to turn it down and to stop banging on the floor/ceiling. However it kept up and escalated. Eventually when we called the management said there was nothing they could do and for us to call the police. That turned into a contest to see who could call the police the most. Eventually the police said for the crazy lady to stop calling them or she'd get cited.
There is a list of things wrong with the apartment given to management when we moved in that they still haven't fix, even though we renewed our lease. They increased the rent but didn't fix anything. And, like another poster, I still haven't received a copy of my renewed lease. We would have moved but my wife was in her 9th month of pregancy. The day we moved in there was a painter in our bathroom drinking a Heiniken. Fortunately they hired a new maintenance supervisor. He started out great (gave us a new refrigerator) but I think he's become overwhelmed.
On the bright side, the complex is beautiful and relatively quiet. The lake is nice and my daughter loves the ducks. The size of our apartment is SAWEET! We'll miss it. It's nicely lit and people seem to feel safe enough to walk up to the MARTA stop at all hours. I've seen some shady-looking people but they're just bored residents standing in front of their complex. No troubles there. If it weren't for the crazy lady, the roaches, and the lack-luster management we'd stay.
