This place only looks good because of the landscaping. It is absolutely atrocious.Place is nasty.Gate is never locked. There are huge rats and roaches.Appliances are terribly old and does not function properly.New staff is very unprofessional and incompetent,as well as very rude. They are very nice when everything is ok,however, when they need to fix something;they are diabolical.

Stay away from this place!!

As the new manager of The Pointe I would like to make a realistic and upfront response to this review, as I will make to all reviews going forward. I agree that the landscaping enhances the property. This community was built by Post in 1988. If you look at any Post property, landscaping is their trademark. Since our takeover of the property the landscaping has been our first improvement, as you stated. The reason for that is to improve the esthetic of the property clearly, but it is also to remedy the over growth that has caused significant damage to the property. This is the first step in a year long repair process. The gates, as I understand from prior management, have continuously been an issue. Yes, the gates are currenly open and will remain as such until a $12000 overhaul is complete. Remember...a gate is for traffic control and is a basic deturant, not a "safety" mechanism. I'm sorry if you at any time felt that I or my staff have been rude. The reality is that we have a job to do and legal guidelines we must adhere to. I cannot afford to lose my job by making exceptions that are legally binding by the lease that was agreed upon with the prior management company. Please feel free to call my office at any time should you or anyone have any questions about the management and much overdue improvements to the property. Thank you.

You have roaches because you or your neighbors do not keep the apartment clean...I have NEVER seen a roach!! Rats are due to the fact the lazy people living here cannot throw trash in the dumpster. They take the easy way and throw it in front of it since heavan forbid they walk 15 feet. One more thing,,,as far as the gates go let me explain something...even when gates are working all the time they do not provide any extra protection...you can push them open by hand.It was a way apartments gave a false sense of security to make you pay more in rent. You can climb right over the gates or like I said just push them open...so the gates are not an issue that is a big deal. If someone wants to get in they will get in..thats why gated home locations are always so expensive..false sense of security...those neighborhoods have crime like everywhere else and even more in some cases. Should the rent go down due to no gates..yes I think so...but you signed a lease.

I personally do not have roaches.I have seen people struggled with roaches in their apartment. My apartment could not be cleaner!!Excellent hygiene is a MUST foe me!!! I cannot say that these people with roach problems are not clean because I don't believe in judging people!!You have no problems and that is great! However, this does not mean that others don't/won't.
