I will start off by saying that Timber Trace used to be a decent place to live, but slowly for the past few years, it has definitely taken a turn for the worse. I am probably one of the oldest residents here and can attest to the changes that have taken place. When I first moved here, this community was of high demand...the luscious landscaping, pristine waterfalls, tranquil environment, and excellent customer service. Now....it is a different story...

In all fairness to Timber Trace and to keep things sweet and simple, I have listed the pros and cons. YOU decide if this is the place for you!!

Pros:
Very Affordable
Spacious Floor plans
Ceiling Fans
Walk-In Closets
Vaulted Ceilings
Fireplaces
Alarms (Some Units)
Washer and Dryer In Each Unit
Within 30 Minutes From EVERYTHING
Close To Major Highways/Interstates
Business/Leasing Offices Have Been Accomodating Toward My Concerns

Cons:
Mysterious Fire Of The Leasing Office
Loud Music From Cars And Homes (Especially Friday And Saturday Nights)
Loitering Men In Groups of 3-8...Single Females Carry Your Mase, Bat, Or Tazer
Loud Yelling And Conversations From Loiterers
Soliciting (Papers Stuck Through The Crack Of The Door Daily)
Loud and Rampant Children Terrorizing And Taking Over The Pools And Gym
Violent Teenagers Roaming The Streets Trying To Start Fights
Broken Front/Back Gates (Within MINUTES Of Being Repaired--Hardly Ever Operational)
Shootings (Three Weeks Ago Right Outside Of My Door--I Took Cover When Shots Heard)
Stabbings
Rapes (Criminals Have Had Access Through Unlocked Sliding Glass Windows)
Break-Ins (The Lower Levels Mostly)
Carjackings
Security Is Mostly Around Immediately After A Crime Is Committed
The Ever-Present Smell Of Weed And Other Illegal Drugs
Getting In Touch With Maintenance During Hours and After Hours Is Impossible
Calling The Business Office During Business Hours Goes To Voicemail Too Often
Litter is Ridiculous
High Gas Bill...I Do Not Know Why
High Water, Sewage, Trash Bill ($30-$37/month)
Visitors and Others Who Don't Live Here Take All The Parking Spaces
The Outside Stairs Are Loose--I Pray It Won't Break While I'm On Them

Note: Please disregard the time frame given. I assure you that I have not lived here since before 1995--I just prefer to keep my identity anonymous. Oh, and by the way, I am currently looking at new apartment homes as my lease will soon end--I will not renew, no matter what other concessions they offer me!
