Large apartment complex equals large problems

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
We have had problems with management. Our March 2003 rent check was stolen from the front office, along with others rent checks. We were not told until April. When we paid for April's rent (on time) about 5 days later we received a notice that we would have to pay a late fee and only in the form of an money order since we did not pay for April. After several calls to the front office, they RELUCTANTLY told us that checks were stolen in March and that our April check was applied to March. We had to put a stop payment on our March check since it thankfully wasn't cashed. No notice or letters were given out explaining that checks were stolen, nothing. They only threatened us with eviction. Also, the quality of people moving into these apartments has gone down. Driving through, you will see a lot of ghetto people just hanging out which was not the case before. Not low-income, but people with low standards. As you drive past certain apartments and each and every time there are always a lot of people out in front or traffic moving in and out of it, it puts you in the mind set that drugs are being sold there.
