Don?t even take the tour

I lived in the Village for just under two years. During that time, some highlights:
1) The "year round heated pool'" Ha. That rec center is open *maybe* a day a week, and good luck getting someone to open it for you.
2) Broken glass on the tennis court.
3) "Hello, Village at Stone Mountain answering service' Yes, we know it?s only 11AM. They aren?t in the office."
4) 3 weeks later, with a maintenance call every day, and my toilet seat was still broken.
5) I gave them 60 days notice in writing. They did a walk-through with me the day I moved out. And yet I have a court order to back a month?s back rent. It says they left notes on the door. Well, no s---, I don?t *live there anymore.*
Avoid this place at all costs. It is ghetto, the customer service is the worst I?ve ever seen (after you sign the lease; before you sign they?re very courteous) and their record-keeping is obviously sub-par.
Incidentally, the reason I stayed as long as I did was simply that I was planning on leaving the state at the earliest opportunity and moving would have been more trouble and money than it was worth. Even so, it was a close call.
