WHY ARE OUR WATER / SEWER BILLS SO HIGH'
Please, Please! Go to www.thepetitionsite.com/2/please-sign-our-why-is-my-water-b and sign our petition. This is for everyone that lives or if you know someone that lives in an apartment, we're all being affected by Owners greed. Finally, send an email to waterbill2007@gmail.com to submit your comments and concerns.

It is outrageous! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
SENORIO: My building consists of 10 units, one of which is currently vacate. There is no meter on the building to determine usage. My bill was $47.80 in March, $43.20 in April, $42.94 in May and $41.31 this month. Not to mention, the company is billing through AUM but the billing address is The Village of Stone Mountain! Now before AUM was billing the residences, it was through Argen which my January bill was $21.91, February was $22.30 and March was $21.79... It was never over $25.00 a month!

COMMENT: (Per Management) We take the square footage and determine the amount. Okay, its the same building, with the same size units, so its the same square footage!
MEANING: Whatever the dollar amount of usage, it is divided by the number of occupied units!

EXAMPLE: Since my bill was $41.31 this month and 9 units of the 10 is occupied, then the total bill for my building was $41.31 this month and 9 units of the 10 is occupied, then the total bill for my building was $41.31 - $5.00 (service charge) = $36.31 x 9 (units occupied) = $326.79 revenue for water this month for my building. Now when the 10th unit is rented, what do you think that mean' THE BILL WILL GO UP because usage will go up!!! This is unfair and unequal.
Now you do the math...
$$$ There is 722 units on this property $$$
How can they take the total cost of water usage and divide it by all occupied units' We don't use the same amount of water on a daily basis. If 3-4 people occupy a 2 bedroom unit, how is that fair to 1-2 people occupying the same unit' Same apply to 1 bedroom units... how is it fair for 1 person to pay the same as 2-3 people occupying the same unit'

We have several issues with The Village at Stone Mountain and their value system...
1. Why don t I have my own meter' Why are we being billed $5.00 a month for service charges, when The Village at Stone Mountain processes the water bills' Why won t you accept my rent if I m late on my water bill'
2. Why is there a lock on the back gate' No one can exit nor enter the premises' Why aren't the gates working electronically' Please call Dekalb County Fire Marshall at (404) 371-2776 or 404) 371-2506 ask for Captain Coleman and voice your concerns.
3. What exactly is the role of the gate security and what ALL do they do'
4. Ever wonder why you have flying insects in your unit' Perhaps it s coming from the swamp located behind the 2000 building! The water is currently green (like mold) with a strong odor...
5. Why aren't we being informed with the crime on this property, anymore'
6. Why aren't the buildings being pressure washed, anymore'
7. Why do managers and staff COME AND GO... interesting! Wish we had a clause like that WITHOUT penalty :)

SOME RESOLUTION: Because water is an individual usage, is should be divided by the number of bodies total in a building. If 1 person lives in a 2 bedroom unit, they shouldn't pay the same for their water bill if 2 persons lived in the same size unit or place meters on every unit just like other utility companies!
It is a hazard to have the back gate closed when 722 units are on this property, open the gates and make them functional for tenants usage.

Lets make The Village a better community to live in...ANY SUGGESTIONS'
I need your help, please email your comments or concerns to waterbill2007@gmail.com and email your opinions also go to www.thepetitionsite.com/2/please-sign-our-why-is-my-water-b

Funny... Monterey Lakes in Largo, Florida just switched to AUM for their water & sewer billing. Everyone's rates in the complex have gone up around $20/month. There appears to be a trend here appearing...
