I stayed at the Weatherly from the Summer of 2004 to the Summer of 2005. When my mother and I first looked at the apartment (in spring 04), they looked really nice and they had really good staff on hand. It's amazing how things can change in the course of three months. When I first moved in, everything was fairly OK (it was NEVER great). However, after a few months, the tenant who lived beneath me kept letting her dog bark at all hours of the night...I'm a student-athlete, so I need a good amount of rest to even be able to function. I went to the office many times about the dog and NOTHING was ever done. Luckily she moved out when I went home for Christmas break. However, the nightmare was just beginning. Turns out the tenants that they moved in beneath me after the other tenant moved out are straight outta the projects!!! I mean music all night and all day! They must have been extremely deaf because they would have their TV up so loud I could figure out what they were watching on TV!! Let's not talk about the tenants who lived on the other side of my bedroom wall! They must insulate these apartments with pieces of printer paper because I could hear somebody's conversation through the walls! Not to mention that two people in MY building got their doors kicked in, and one guy got assaulted (all in ONE MONTH) while I was there!! So safety at the Weatherly' KISS IT GOODBYE!! It got so bad that I actually ended up having to find "getaway" spots away from the apartment. I started doing volunteer work, found a Bally's and a library. During my spring semester, I probably got about 100 hours of sleep and I had the police to my house for peace disturbances FOUR TIMES IN THREE MONTHS. And what does management do''' NOT A DAMN THING!! And don't count on help from corporate either. They are just as money-hungry and cut-throat as their low-life staff. And I never got so much as an apology from anybody. Even though my lease was up in August, when May came around, I RAN OUT OF THE WEATHERLY AND NEVER LOOKED BACK!!! THAT WAS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE SO FAR!! So if you are looking for a quiet, serene atmosphere where you can feel safe and happy...THIS AIN'T IT!!!!!!!!
