I've lived in several apartments in the metro area and out of all of them, this has the shoddiest construction. The first couple of months were fine (I moved in Dec '04), but then someone moved in upstairs and everything went down hill. The walls are so thin that you can hear everything going on around you. Domestic arguments, people dropping heavy objects, people closing cupboards with too much force, etc. Worse, the sound is magnified. As I'm typing this, I'm experiencing shakes as the obese woman upstairs drops stuff in her kitchen. At three am, I hear her make her trip to the toilet. THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD FLUSH THUD THUD THUD. FEE FI FO FUM!!! Parts of my apartment rattle non-stop when she's home. If you still insist on living here, make sure you get a top floor. You can still hear the screams of domestic unbliss from below, but the constant thunder over the head is much much worse. I plan on moving at the end of my lease.
