I broke my lease

Was wonderful as a Post Property. As soon as it was sold went way down hill. There were several break-ins and even a rape that occurred over one summer when my roomate and I went back home (from school-summer break) and we were NOT notified of any of this and re-signed our lease. They claim (Barrington management) they didnt lower their standards for tenants, but that is IMPOSSIBLE. And the "controlled" access gate was constantly broken and never fixed. Anyone could suddenly walk right in. We couldnt even walk outside to our mailbox without being hollered at by nasty men. We ended up as two scared girls in a fight with management to try to get out of our lease. We broke our lease -about $2000 b/c we were concerned for our safety and well-being - and they DIDNT give a crap! If your new to the area and looking for an apartment stick to a Post apt. (I suggest Post Brookhaven, or Ashford) they are the cheapest in the area. Stay away from this place!
