We really enjoyed living here--except for being on the third floor! Everyone was very nice and it seemed like a generally safe place and very secure.
We moved out in the end of July though and we still haven't gotten our security deposit back yet though! Has anyone else had a problem getting their money back' We were only there for a few months and I know that we didn't do any damage to the apartment--I called and the property manager, Byron, couldn't give me much info other than accounting she be sending it or sent it already because they did have my forwarding address.
I have been trying to call their corporate office and can only get answering machines.
So, overall nice clean place that was very comfortable, but it seems like the office is more than a little shady!

I do agree with your post. The apartments are generally in good condition. The cleaning crew who cleaned mines prior to move in did not do a thorough job. I cleaned the place up myself and it has been very cozy. The only concern that I have about the community is the level of noise that is kept up by the neighbors and some of the rif-raff that has started to move in. I have been a reside at Dupont Place for almost 2 years now and I have noticed some changes since the new management company took over. The rent office staff are nice, but I know that nice smiles and attitudes is just bate to get perspective tenants to move in. Byron is okay, he only seems concerned about collecting rent and that is it. I still miss the old management company; they were great.

I agree with you. The community is fairly nice and the people are friendly to but the rif-raff moving in has made me rethink resigning my lease. I just don't feel comfortable with the guys hanging out side the building. Also, I live on the third floor but it feels like the second or first floor. I have arguing neighbors below and beside of me. The rent staff seems ok but I really miss the old staff. They were kind and they knew my name when i called and came by for an issue. The issues were corrected within 24hrs. What ever happened to the old maintance man he was good?
