Worst 7 years of our lives

After having gotten off our duffs to move to a new place, I felt the need to warn others to not move into this hole. Management seems to change at least every 2 years, which progressively got worse every year. Be prepared to listen to kids at all hours and managing your rage as you enter/leave the complex as they stand in the street waiting to be hit. The grounds are littered with trash(fast food wrappers, broken bottles, etc) the majority of the week, which the grounds keepers tend to glaze over the majority of the time. The main office allows a religious group to use it's facility during the weekend, so enjoy trying to park if you happen to live near the front. Tenants have been 'authorized' to party after notifying the main office, irregardless of their neighbors complaints at 1am.
There is one maintenance guy that has been here almost as long as we have that shares our laments with this situation that is living here - really helpful and has been a shining light in an otherwise dreary renter's time. The rest of them couldn't figure out how to open the air conditioning unit, I kid you not. An example of the attitude here; there's been a busted water main under our building for 2 years now. Every now and then it breaks, with a wonderful smell that sits for a few weeks until they come and 'patch' it back up. The complex seems to raid your place at least once every 3 months with 'checkups'. We've never really felt welcomed here and are glad to be done with it. I only wish someone had informed us 7 years ago as I am doing for you now.

So, you were paying rent every month and didn't think you should pitch in and pick up trash to keep YOUR home nice? The mgmt office does not loose any sleep about YOUR home when they go to THEIR home. I'll bet they pick up trash around their home. And uncontrollable children are the parents fault not mgmt. You didn't address this with mgmt? Why would somebody continously renew their lease for 7yrs and not be happy? Mmmm...

Sigh. Perhaps had you bothered to actually read my statement you would notice all of your straw man comments fall under management's responsibility. Common sense should teach you to read between the lines, of course we picked up litter and spoke to parents. When you enter a contract, both parties are to uphold their ends. Lavista Crossing never did. Enforcing penalties for littering, noisy children, hallway obstructions, parties till 2am, noise levels, etc falls under management's responsibilities. Lavista Crossing never actually enforced/held up their lease agreement. And when you're right at the poverty level it takes quite a bit to up and move everything you own. Troll somewhere else. I did my service for the community and warned them here. You simply wasted space. Clearly you work for them. And forget about your deposit, we came away with no marks against ours and still haven't received it from them.
