Apartments are fairly well constructed, although the kitchen surfaces peeled off and our deposit was deducted for it. The layout was fine and ours was spacious and light (recommend the larger 1300ft2 layouts). Greenery around is pretty, and it is pleasant to walk through the complex to the lake. Large dogs are allowed, which means there is some barking and mess, but not too bad. However they harassed us whenever a cat got outside. If you have to live in Tucker consider this place, but personally I would have lived in a less crowded area. It is right next to Jimmy Carter Blvd and I85 which are jammed most of the day. Car noise is actually not too bad in the apts but on hot summer days the pollution was sometimes terrible. Like all of Tucker it is completely car oriented, we tried to walk across the road to the supermarket and nearly got run down. Apts are gated which is good but we still had our car broken into once.
Noise was average. In fact, we wouldn't complain about it, but the guy beneath did. He was a total pain for 3 years, complaining from the first day ("dog hair dropped from our balcony!'") through almost the last day (cat escaped, shock; TV and washing machine at 9pm too loud; barking (supposedly); moving around at night). The floor can't have been too thin because we never heard a thing from him. He was a jerk because he would never bring the complaint to us but always go straight to the management. In fact we are pretty good neighbours and I think they thought he was a jerk too. Anyway you aren't likely to live next to him. But if you do have problems expect the mgmt to always assume that complaints are reasonable, ie, we were constantly getting in trouble. In the end we were sick of it and left. They also liked to keep putting up the rent well above local rates.
