Looks Can Be Deceiving!

First, let me tell you the good thing about Southern Woods Apartments.
1. Great rent for a lot of space.
2. Landscaping is beautiful.
3. Specials and referral money is great.
4. Lots of parking spaces. You usually have a space to park everytime you come home.
5. The free "monitored" intrusion alarms are great deterrents to break ins in apartments.
That's it!
Now, for the bad.
1. Management will tell you during your walk through what they will fix before you move in. They will not!
2. The water pressure sucks big time.
3. Management is very friendly when you're thinking about moving in, then they say they are writing up jobs tickets, then do nothing when you complain that repairs haven't been done.
4. The tenants are dirty and live too many to an apartment.
5. They will tell you that they only have spiders, and that they exterminate every week (it's only once every two weeks and that's only after you've "asked" to be put on a list to have it done!
6. Gradually, after a month or two. You will began to see roach after roach until you realize there is an infestation somewhere! And, guess what' They have wings and they fly!!! You will find yourself buying cans of raid to rid them but they just keep coming back, because of nasty neighbors.
7. The central air units are old and they will tell you that they have to wait until they go out to replace them (This is usually during the hottest time of the year!).
8. The appliances are clean but they have old motors and fans that will make alot of noise during the night.
9. Hope you like mexican music, because you will hear it ALOT1
10. The tennis court net is old and the court is used as a kids playground and everything other than playing tennis!
11. The tenants enjoy breaking bottles in the parking lot.
12. There have been some cars broken into, but other than that there hasn't been too many crimes in the complex.
Remember, if it sounds too good ($600 for an 845 sq ft apartment) to be true, you will find out later once you've signed on the dotted line. Go ahead and pay the higher rent for the smaller apartments way out younder, because in the long run, you will have better peace of mind.
