I moved into this complex from HELL about 6 months ago. Oh, the walk-thru of the property and the "unit" I was supposed to be moving into was awesome! Staff was nice and friendly and assured me everything would be ready on move-in day. Mind you, all this took place 3 WEEKS prior AND I was 7 months pregnant. I was supposed to move-in on a Saturday, so I called the Leasing office the Monday BEFORE..."Is everything ready? Have you guys gone down to the apt. and checked everything?" Oh Yes, Yes! Everything's ready maam. I get there with a truck load full of my belongings at 8 a.m. (like they told me)...the Leasing Office wasn't even open for me to pick up my keys, I had 5 guys sitting around for an hour and a half just WAITING to move me in...the Property Manager "CARLA" finally shows up, we go inside and there are freaking DEAD ROACHES all over the apartment, it hadn't been CLEANED, NOTHING that was promised 3 weeks ago had been done, I didn't have knobs on some of the cabinet doors and some of the drawers in the kitchen wouldn't even open. AND MAINTENANCE!!! You're LUCKY if they EVER show up at ALL! They tell you they're "On the Way" and DAYS go by. Then you have to call AGAIN!!! and DAYS GO BY AGAIN!!! I pay TOO much $$$ to be getting the level of "Service-LESS-ness" they are dishing out. Needless to say...I'm breaking the lease as SOON as I'm able to lift and pack! Anyone here know of any "GOOD" apartment complexes??? I really need some assistance in finding one!

Wish I had known. Check with Shannon Chase off of 138. I have viewed their complex as well and the model makes you want to move right in. They have two bedrooms with fireplaces in all the units. The rent is cheaper and they still offer the roommate floor plan. It is a smaller complex and the lady I spoke with has been there 6 years the other 5. I'm glad I found this site, by accident. I have not completely made up my mind where I am going. I hope things work out for you, by all means, don't break your lease, it will reflect on you not them when you go to your next home. Tough it out and make sure you give them a 60 day notice to move or they will penalize you with a two month lease payment.

If you like the location, there is a complex called Boardwalk on sligh and it is very nice. I moved here because they didn't have anything available. They also have washer and dryer inside the apartment. I am having a rough time with some neighbors walking their dogs unleashed and not picking up after their pets. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired when I walk out and I see an army of flies over the "stuff".

Hidden Lake has been a blessing and a curse. Some of the neighbors are really nice but the management is a curse. Kippie is the worst excuse for a property manager if there ever was one. She's extremely unprofessional and a bit crooked. We have paid so many excess charges over the two years we've lived here that it's criminal. We're finally moving and not a day too soon...

LMAO @ Anonymous! Yes Kippie is a trip but Karla is worse than her. My Mom lives over there now and she's always complaining about something they didn't do that they were supposed to. Her ceiling leaked when the ran came back to back in January. Do you know that they STILL haven't come in to fix the ceiling that's bulging out and hanging! Just plain trifling is what they are. I'm all the way out in Snellville now and am thinking about moving back southbound in August because the commute will be better for me. Anyone have any good apartment experiences in the Union City/Fairburn/Palmetto/College Park (Roosevelt & Hwy 138'ish area)?

I agree anonymous, the management & maintenance team there is horrible. needless to say I end up breaking my lease! they are crooked & very rude all the way up to top management.
