Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
I lived there for a few years. I liked it very much. There are negative things about everywhere you can live. Management is very nosy, snooty and rude but if you can look past that you can enjoy the beautiful apartment and landscaping. Management is generally rude everywhere I have rented from in Valdosta though. The playground is not that great but most people here don't have kids so that's not an issue. There is dog poop everywhere because there are lots of dog people. The fitness center is horrible because the equipment is cheap and wobbly. If you are military you can use the facility on base so that didn't matter to me as much. The plus side is that the apartments themselves are the nicest in town and the complex landscaping and such are gorgeous. I've lived in many places in Valdosta and no place was perfect, but at least I had pretty surroundings at the Links. OH, and I rarely heard my neighbors above or next to me. The insulation seems to be the best of anywhere I've lived in town. They are strict on partiers so it's relatively quiet. I hope this helped. The alternatives are Northwind, which in my opinion didn't compare. They may have the square footage to boast of but the architecture is very plain and I believe they were more expensive than the Links.
