I rented an apartment from Amberplace for 15 months. The manager wants his money on time each month or he charges you an amount that is unheard of. I moved out in August of 2007. It is not January of 2008. I have called him each month since January and asked for my deposit back .He continues to tell me that it is in the mail. The mail doesnt take 6 months to run. He is not very nice when he does respond to you, if he doesnt end up avoiding your call. The apartments themselves have been thrown together. My window leaked, the towel racks fell off the wall, the dishwasher kept clogging up, the sink kept clogging up, the carpet was very cheap, I was on the 2nd floor and when it rained I got wet all the way from the car to my front door (even though there is a porch, the water pours in on you), and if you want something done they did it half way. I do not recommend this apartment to anyone.

They have 30 days to return your deposit to you or they have to pay you 3 times the amount of the deposit. It's Georgia law.

What a concent that someone would want the rent paid on time. I am sure Amber place is better off without a deadbeat like you!

The majority of apartments want rent on time and if not paid on time there is a late fee. That is just common knowledge!!

To Anonymous Date: 07/11/2008 and Anonymous Date: 08/15/2008, The way you wrote your comments I bet you work for Amber place. You don't have to be that low, because you are at the bottom already. Everyone knows that people who have a good education would not have the kind of jobs that you do. I know it's quite a difficult job (get curse from people that you robbed all the time), and it does not pay well either. Go back to school and get a degree, high school degree is not use now days, if you don't have high school degree, try and get it first. Anyone who has a bad experience about Amber place has a right to speak the truth. What is the wrong with that? You are just a typical uneducated person. By the way you write, other people and I know exactly where you are from. Don't make the South look bad. I thought it's improving. Honestly, I really hate the people work in the leasing office in Georgia. They have no moral. They robbed your money and they also barked at you. Look around and rent a house. There are many houses for rent with a good deal. You can get a 2B2B house in a decent neighborhood for the same price that 1B1B that these apartment have.

I just wanted to say that I always paid my rent on time. I was never late. My problem was that I did my part and Amberplace did not do theirs. My lease was up on a Friday and I asked if I could have Saturday morning to move, they told me no. They said that they would have painters over that Saturday, Which They DIDNT!! I had to take a day off of work to move. I believe that if you are a good tenant, you should have a little respect from the people you are giving your money to. It also took me going to the BBB to get my deposit back. It took 6 months!! Then when I finally got it back, they took more than half because they said they had to get the carpets cleaned. There were no stains or anything on the carpets. They were being hateful because the BBB made them give me my money back, which was rightfully mine to begin with. I with luck to anyone who lives in these apartments. There are so many beautiful apartments out there, I would strongly suggest trying a different one. I have moved into a house that I rent. Like Anonymous said above, you can find a house for the same price in a great neighborhood with alot less trouble. Amberplace put a bad taste in my mouth for apartment living.
