I was one of the first tenants in the first phase of Amber Place. In the beginning it was nice, no problems but if any problems happened to occur then one call to Joyce and all the problems were taking care of in a snap. If Joyce were running the whole show at Amber Place there would be many happy tenants and a long waiting list. On the moving out part is where things begin to happen. The thing that seems to be everyones problem is Roger the complex Manager. He is not kind, considerate, or honest. He is all about getting as much money as he can in weird fees that he comes up with upon your departure from Amber Place. He charged us these huge fees for things that weren't even related to our stay.
WATCH OUT!!

So what fees not related to your stay did Roger charge you? Your statement regarding this issue is very ambiguous and leads me to believe you have something to hide.

I agree with GAtraveler. Your lease agreement clearly states what you must pay up front and what you will be getting back if you leave with proper notice and the apartment isn't trashed. It kinda seems like you aren't giving the whole story here. Just seems like you want to point the finger when you should be pointing it at yourself!!!!!

You know what? Don't take my word for it. I don't really care. Instead I will tell the other people that were residences at Amber Place and let them tell their horror stories. I'm sure once I tell them about this little apartment rating website that they will be more than happy to share their own EXIT NIGHTMARE FROM AMBER PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To Anonymous Date: 07/11/2008 and Anonymous Date: 07/14/2008, The way you wrote your comments I bet you work for Amber place. You don't have to be that low, because you are at the bottom already. Everyone knows that people who have a good education would not have the kind of jobs that you do. I know it's quite a difficult job (get curse from people that you robbed all the time), and it does not pay well either. Go back to school and get a degree, high school degree is not use now days, if you don't have high school degree, try and get it first. Anyone who has a bad experience about Amber place has a right to speak the truth. What is the wrong with that? You are just a typical uneducated person. By the way you write, other people and I know exactly where you are from. Don't make the South look bad. I thought it's improving. Honestly, I really hate the people work in the leasing office in Georgia. They have no moral. They robbed your money and they also barked at you. Look around and rent a house. There are many houses for rent with a good deal. You can get a 2B2B house in a decent neighborhood for the same price that 1B1B that these apartment have.

I agree. Roger is a piece of work. He tries to steal money and he is getting away with it. I hope enought people call the BBB to get him fired.

In my experience leaving Amber Place, I had nothing but great service. My deposit was mailed to me the same month, I got all my money back with no added fees, and I was told to come back any chance I got and let them know how my teaching was going. I am not refuting what happened to any previous tenant, just stating my experience in hopes that people will realize that every apartment complex has good stories and bad. In the end, it seems Amber Place has more good than bad. I know several other previous and current residents who share my experience and love for Amber Place.
